Greetings from Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, Sr., Presiding Bishop

Greetings in the wonderful Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Welcome to the 107th Summer Convention of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc in the great city of St. Louis, MO! We are so grateful for your presence and support at our first Summer Convention since 2019. The Lord has promised us great and mighty things, and we are blessed to experience the faithfulness of God to bring us to this point. Mother Brooks and I have been praying for the Lord’s blessings be on each of you on your traveling journey to be with us in St. Louis, and we are so glad that you are here with us! Praise the Lord, God kept us—and for that we are glad!

Over the last year, the convention team, auxiliary presidents, and department directors have all worked tirelessly preparing to meet each member, minister, and supporter of our great organization. Understanding the great impact these last few years have brought us in coming to the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been prayerful in every step of our planning process. We sought the Lord for guidance and insight on planning programming that meets the spiritual and personal needs of each attendee. In all that God has done for us, we must keep Christ at the center of our convention gatherings! I believe we should be, and have been, intentional about creating an atmosphere throughout every session and service that welcomes the presence of the Lord to change lives in miraculous ways.

When we were just days before our 2019 Summer Convention in Cincinnati, I spent time reflecting on the theme for that year and all that God declared over our lives through the scripture Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…” I recall thinking also about surrounding verses and pondering the God of miracles and provision that declared with promise, “I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” And though we may not have ever anticipated the manner of manifestation, we did indeed see the miracles and provisions of God.

In 2022, the Lord has spoken over the people of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. with the theme: “Now It Shall Spring Forth: Walking in the Promise”.

In Isaiah 54:17, the Lord declares that "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” This is the verse that the Lord gave me as the foundation for this year’s theme. You see, there is a promise in this scripture that we can hold tightly to—not just for us but for the generations that follow us. As the promises of God spring forth in our lives, we must trust that we will see the fulfillment of all that God has spoken concerning out lives, no matter what comes our way. My brothers and sisters, we can and must trust God to keep us and block everything that comes against us that is not in His Divine Will.

As we Walk in the Promises of God, we must be assured that no weapon, no trial, no sickness, no heartache, nothing formed against us can stop God from doing His Divine Will in our lives as long as we do that that is right in His sight. I truly believe that now is our time to rise, to flourish in the Will of God, to live in the place of promise and let the devil know that he can’t stop us. Our faith is rooted wholly in God, and He will see us through everything that tries to stop His Will from being done in our lives. Not just for us, but for the generations that
