Super Affiliate Handbook Review

Super Affiliate Handbook Review Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook has been on the market for many years, dating back to 2003, and some even consider it the holy grail of affiliate marketing. It’s aim is to help beginners, and even seasoned internet marketers, understand and leverage the finer points of affiliate marketing to build a profitable and sustainable online business. The reason why I’m reviewing the Super Affiliate Handbook here, on a website dedicated primarily to blog marketing and WordPress, is because this book can be of huge benefit to bloggers who are looking to earn money blogging. Whether or not you’re looking to earn enough to keep the blog up and running or you’d like to earn some extra profit or turn it into a virtual money tree, it’s a good idea to look at your options. And affiliate marketing is one great option. My first copy of the Super Affiliate Handbook was purchased in 2004 and it has seen many updates since, so it’s important to note that I’m reviewing my most current version of the book (2007). When I initially read the book, I disliked its focus on PPC (pay per click) advertising methods, which I found confusing and far too easy to lose one’s shirt with. Another element that I disliked about the book was that it was far too cumbersome for a beginner. It provides you with ample information, but doesn’t give specific action steps leaving some measure of trial and error. Despite those shortcomings, I found the Super Affiliate Handbook worthy of being printed and bound, which is exactly what I did.

The book is much like a level-headed mentor that tells you what you should know as opposed to what you want to hear. It focuses on affiliate marketing as a business and not affiliate marketing as a way to get rich overnight. If you’ve been on the internet for any length of time, or already have your own computer, then you can safely disregard most of the beginning of the book. But it does pick up from there. It walks you through finding an appropriate market, mapping out your content, getting your affiliate website online, and marketing it. In the previous versions of the book there was a strong inclination toward PPC, however, the new version is more balanced focusing on PPC, email promotions, blogging, and even social media. There is plenty of information to help you get organized, what tools you’ll need in your affiliate marketing kit, and there’s even a section at the end which contains a quick reference of the top affiliate networks and a glossary of terms. If you’re already an experienced affiliate marketer, then there’s a strong chance you already own or don’t need the Super Affiliate Handbook. But all in all, it’s an excellent resource for those just getting started with affiliate marketing or who want a more structured approach to the business than the school of hard knocks.

You can order the book directly through the Super Affiliate Handbook website or you can order a tangible copy from Amazon, though it’s important to note that the tangible copy doesn’t include the bonus items or upgrades.
