The above inspections are designed for a Pre Purchase situation. We are, however, also often asked to assist clients with issues that are not necessarily on homes that are being purchased.
On a single-storey home in WA we will often carry out an inspection of the roof frame at the same time as the Plate Height Building Inspection. Generally, the roof is completed fairly quickly after the home reaches plate height.
Plate height refers to the completion of brickwork at any given floor. The plate is
the timber roofing element that is fixed down to the top of the completed wall. A plate height inspection will include a general check of the quality of all work
