An illustrious mid-twentieth century past defines the present at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in Surfside. With timeless architecture and a hypnotic ambience, the property collectively captures the glamour of a bygone time and the exclusivity of a private club lifestyle circa the 1930s-1950s. The living history peaks over the new “Reflections” cocktail menu at The Champagne Bar, where head bartender Valentino Longo and his superstar team craft transportive libations that speak to The Surf Club’s most iconic social events and celebrations. Take, for example, Carnival in Venice, a modern twist on a house-bottled, Italian spritz–style cocktail (garnished with olive oil–soaked grapes no less), honoring a legendary masquerade party once held at The Surf Club. Likewise, the Dancing Hat, an intoxicating mix of clarified horchata, tequila, and rum, topped with chili-dusted coffee foam, channels the Club’s 1941 Mexican-themed fiesta for the ages. Continue the retro-glam experience at Lido Restaurant, a fellow Joseph Dirand–designed space bejeweled in towering palm fronds and hexagonal, gold-trimmed chandeliers. Here, feast on contemporary interpretations of Italian classics by James Beard Award–winning chef Michael White and revel in a new incarnation of la dolce vita in the Florida tropics.
