Success Stories
Miss B’s Learning Bees
AJAY
Kindergartner Ajay joined Miss B’s afterschool enrichment program, founded by LaToya Bullard, last fall. Initially, his report card revealed that he was at the “D” level— developing understanding of skills and in need of support. With encouragement from Miss B’s volunteers, Ajay attended the program faithfully and worked really hard.
Throughout the year, he continued to make amazing gains in his work with i-Ready, an online student assessment and personalized instruction tool, and IXL, a curriculum resource.
Ajay finished the year at the “MA” level, indicating that he was mastering the skills and proficient in his understanding of them. Now, early in his academic career, he is already on the path to success!
