With a strategic plan for membership growth in hand, along with the commitment teamwork from vice presidents, regional directors and IHQ, the fraternity reached a historic milestone by achieving the largest membership since its founding.

The membership growth plan is celebrated by including several opportunities to the membership:

• Waived late fees

• Launched virtual MIP

• Chapter growth incentives

• “Come Back Home” Reclamation

• Engaged with Campus Based Professionals webinars

• Cloud Based Training

A historic decision was made to redevelop our International Headquarters Building. Under the vision and leadership of President Cristal, the General Board voted to tear down the existing IHQ and build a new historic $20 Million Corporate Office featuring a 5-story building. The first floor will house the IHQ operations and the top floors will be affordable housing units. The new building will provide additional revenue streams that will support the fraternity long term financially. The project is being developed in collaboration with Bro. Don Peebles’ Peebles Corporation.

President Cristal was the FIRST International President to have been initiated in the fraternity at a predominantly white institution (PWI). President Cristal was initiated on April 3, 1982 and received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2018.
