officers and general members from different schools learned how to lead their clubs more efficiently and to improve their leadership. In addition, the district board shared more

about this year’s district project, which is food banks in New Jersey, and shared various ideas on how to contribute to the project. (see pg 10 for more info)

District Project

Our service hours goal is 18,630. Our fundraising goal is $90,077.85. Break Down of the Numbers 900 - The 900,000 New Jersey residents who rely on food banks.  77 - 7.7 million times a year that someone is fed by a food bank.  8 - 1 in 8 people in New Jersey struggle with hunger. 5 - There are 5 food banks in the Federation working diligently and passionately to change the lives of the hungry. 

The 2015-2016 district project is the New Jersey Federation of Food Banks. Did you know that 1 out of 8 people in New Jersey struggle with hunger? You may not know it but hunger is a huge problem that can affect a person physically and mentally. Hunger is often overlooked, but the New Jersey District of Key Club has partnered up with food banks and communities to bring more awareness to this problem.
