Have you served on any Regional or National committees: I have not but perhaps once kids are out of college?
What encouraged you to join the Porsche Club of America: I'm fascinated with all things Porsche, Porsche Motorsports and chatting it up with like minded individuals. Porsche to me equals passion and excellence and the members are a pleasure to get to know. I also enjoy getting my children involved in the Porsche brand and sharing my passion with them.
When it came time to buy a vehicle, what made you choose your Porsche and is this your first Porsche (if not please detail prior Porsche's): I especially enjoy naturally aspirated GT cars that rev to 9k. The sound the engine makes is something that makes me forget about the worlds problems. Being in the drivers seat is my happy place. I also enjoy early build 996's. To me that's the link between air cooled and water cooled and is a significant car in Porsche's history.
What are your favorite Regional &/or National events: My favorite Porsche event to attend is anything related to Motorsports. Especially club racing at Summit Point seeing everything from 944 spec cars to 991 RSR's.
What is your favorite PCA memory: Attending IMSA VIR with my brother, his son and my son. We drove the touring and GT4 RS from Rockville to VIR through Skyline drive and then did parade laps before the race.
What advice about PCA or Chesapeake would you give to new members: Get involved, attend events, find what your passionate about and be active. You will likely meet friends for a lifetime.
If money was no object, what Porsche would you love to own and why: Any 962 race car
Anything additional you would like to share about yourself (Family/Work/Etc): I used to be a golf professional and like finding unique ways to fit golf clubs in the back or front of each car. I also
enjoy teaching my kids how to drive a manual and taking them to club events. Sharing your passion with your kids is a dream come true for me. I’m teaching my daughter to drive stick as the 1999 Boxster will be her car. Jet learned to drive stick on his 996, while my wife prefers to drive a Cayenne. I own a upholstery company and created custom seat inserts for some of my Porsche’s. Follow my Instagram @911_m_enthusiast • Instagram photos and videos to see some of my work.
