Dear PCA Friends and Family, On behalf of the entire Plymouth Christian Academy community, I warmly welcome you to our 29th Gala Auction, Christmas Town! This is our schools’ largest event and the funds raised tonight will allow us to continue our mission of educating and equipping students for lives of learning, leadership, and service. It is with sincere gratitude that I write this letter. I am grateful to all in attendance tonight. Thank you for taking the time to attend Christmas Town and thank you in advance for your generosity toward PCA. I am also deeply grateful to all who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Their energy, passion for PCA, and enthusiasm for our students is contagious. The 2019-2020 school year is something that I am also extremely grateful for. We have welcomed over 150 new students into our classrooms, an 11% increase in enrollment over the same time last year, partnering with countless families in the education of their children. I consider it an honor to be part of this journey with so many families. To our new families in attendance tonight, welcome! To our donors and sponsors, whether this is your first year being part of the auction, or your 29th, thank you! Your faithful support and generosity to our school is a blessing that encourages the faculty, staff, and students of Plymouth Christian. At PCA, we remain committed to the foundation to provide students a strong academic education taught through the lens of God’s word, along with the ability for a student to grow athletically, artistically, and spiritually. I am thrilled that the Lord is allowing me to be part of the story of Plymouth Christian and I am indebted to each of you for your support at Christmas Town 2019. I encourage you to bid often and bid high! Enjoy! Deeply Grateful to be used in His Service, Caryn Huntsman

MEET OUR AUCTIONEER, Sherry Truhlar Plymouth Christian is honored to have professional auctioneer, Sherry Truhlar, not only as our auctioneer, but as our consultant. This Kansas native works as a charity auctioneer educator and onstage auctioneer, helping schools across the country. Sherry holds several educational credentials. She holds a certificate in professional event management from George Washington University, the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation from the National Auctioneers Association, an MA degree from the University of Wollongong (Australia), and BA and BS degrees from Emporia State University in Kansas. She is thought to be the only auctioneer who has achieved a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and is also a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI).

Sherry feels it is important for auctioneers to encourage bidders to get excited about the cause they are supporting. She views it as her job to articulate our school's mission and to incite passion and support for our students. "Auctions are a unique way of not only raising funds, but drawing a community together," Sherry says. Community is something PCA knows all about and so we welcome Sherry to our community on Friday, November 8, 2019!

I LOVE PCA! We hope that the décor’, dinner, and fun tonight is getting you in the Christmas spirit! Even more so, we pray that this special “I Love PCA” giving portion helps us focus our hearts on the true message of the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are thrilled to welcome our very own PCA 5th Grade Teacher, Suzy Wright, as she performs Chris Tomlin’s “Winter Snow”. We also hope that this performance, along with a special surprise, allows you to get a glimpse into the unique school that is PCA. The ability to share this message of faith is the foundation of all that we do. It is our goal that all of our students come to know the free gift of salvation through faith in Christ. We consider it an honor to be used of the Lord in this great work.

Won’t you join us in this mission through your gift tonight? Raise your paddle high during “I Love PCA!” We trust in God’s blessing and your spirit of giving to help us meet our goal of $40,000 during “I Love PCA!”. Thank you so much!
