It’s 2022, the New Year! A time to look toward the fresh promise that January 1st brings each year. At the Kassette, we have been stepping up our game and working to provide the Gold Coast Region newsletter an improved look, pertinent articles, and simple enjoyment for our readers. We shared a few of these upgrades in the past couple months. This month we are introducing the balance of our new “headers” for those messages from our key officers and for the regular monthly columns. Look for these as you read through our January issue. They are:

FIRST TURN – The President’s Mes-

sage -- The first corner in any automobile race is crucial for those in the first 2 to 3 rows. You can’t win the race in the first turn, but you certainly can lose it! As such, it is important for our President of GCR to offer his or her thoughts and encouragement for the month ahead. Hence, our President is offered the “FIRST TURN.”

START YOUR ENGINES – New

Member Column – The Membership Chair provides the GCR’s welcome to our new and transferred members. They provide insight into the Region makeup and presents a bit of interesting insight into all things Porsche.

SHIFT INTO SOCIAL – Social Committee Message – We’ve been using this header already, and the goal of “Shift into Social” is a quick look at the recent past and coming events for the current month.

KEYSTROKES – Editor’s Notes – Read the “Editor’s Notes” and gain a quick glance at what is inside. Learn how our team is working to bring everyone the news and photos of our membership.

FINDING GOLD – Member Feature – Our Gold Coast Region members are interesting and diverse. We provide a profile of one or two members each month and of their lives with Porsches.

TECHNICAL WIZARDRY – Pedro’s Tech Corner - Basically all Porsche knowledge shared by a Tech Wiz, Mr. Pedro P. Bonilla!

AROUND THE CONES – Autocross Updates – A brief synopsis of Autocross schedules and results, including a tip or two to help you get around the cones faster, for next time.

CLASSIFIED ADS – This section is self-explanatory; it is a forum to sell Porsches and Porsche stuff.

A PHOTO FINISH – This regular feature was added in 2021 to offer a cool picture of a member’s Porsche every month. The pics have been STUNNING!

The 48 Hours at Sebring Club Race will be held at the beginning of next month, 3-6 February. Don’t miss the largest Porsche club race in the world. Volunteer positions are still open: sign up at www.48hoursatsebring.com for a great racing experience.
