“Strike1! Strike 2! Strike 3! You’re out of there!” said the umpire!! Kyle skulked back to the bench and he thought, “Is this going to be like New York again?” No one said a thing to him. He went to go get Gatorade, kicking the dirt with the clay flinging up. When he sat down on the bench, all of the kids scooted down. He was very angry at himself sitting on the bench. He was thinking what he could have done, like hit a home run. He was up again and on the 3rd pitch, his bat broke. The team was laughing at him and his face was all red. Now it’s the ninth inning. There were 2 outs and Kyle was up again. He struck out. He heard the first basemen Joe say, “We could win without Kyle.” He saw his team. When he was looking he saw them frown. He went home and his mom said, “How was it?” Kyle lied. He said, “I hit a home run.” His mom said, “Well, good job.” It was the next game. He got out again.
But right after that he dove and caught a ball at his position- 3 base. Then he threw it to 2ed base. Then “1 Triple play.” said the umpire. After the game his coach said to him, “You are a great player in the field but you have trouble hitting.” So, I’m going to teach you how to hit a ball when it is going fast”. They stayed after the game for 2 hours. They were practicing hitting and placing his feet in the right spot to hit.
It was the next game. It was the ninth inning and bases. Were loaded 2 outs. They were down 7-10 and it was the championship game he was worried those he might mess up. Look who is up Kyle. We are going to strike him out and break his bat. We are going to win the championships easy said the other team. Strike 1 strike 2. The other team said” “Look we are going to win right here on this pitch. The pitch.” was made!!!
Cubage it did a spin and curved. It looked like it was going to hit 3rd base but it curved right around. It hit the wall. Run, run, run! He rounded 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd he went home. He’s not going to make it! “Go back said his team. He thought, “It is my only chance.” He went home. He slid head first. The other team tried to tag him but they missed. The ump yelled “SAFE!!!”
The ending score was 10-11. His team jumped up and down. His coach said “I knew you can do it.” He got so many friends. There was one kid that he liked Carl they go to school to getter to. His team picked him up on their shoulders. Kyle got to hold the trophy on his solder. He was happy. He went home and his parents’ were so happy. He started to go to a special school. The school is a baseball school that helps him. Now he is the best player in the league. Him best friend Carl went to that school too. They have the most fun he ever had. He and his family were so happy they moved!!!
