The Boss of Shopping

Jenny was plopped on her tummy on her bed in the middle of writing her list for the Spring Shopping Sale. She was going shopping with her mom at Dazzling Glitter, her favorite store. “Ring! Ring! Ring!” Jenny’s phone went off. Rose was calling Jenny. Rose had invited Jenny to go jet skiing. Jenny always gets her way. Jenny was determined to go shopping. But she knew that Rose would be upset because Rose always spends time doing what Jenny decides. She knew that because Rose had told her that a million times before. Her arms sank down as she felt annoyed and thought in her mind she doesn’t want to upset Rose. She was speechless as her mouth shook when she was stuck. There were only two ways to do this, 1. I could tell her the truth. 2. I could lie. She chose one and it was…to lie! The lie wouldn’t be too bad she thought. Jenny felt guilty the way she was lying, she put her hand over her forehead and she did a big sigh and said in to the phone, “I can’t because I have a (cough cough) cold.” Jenny sat down slumped in her chair wondering what Rose was doing. Rose was silent because she was still mad that jenny couldn’t join her at the beach. After a long 30 minutes waiting for Rose Jenny said good bye and hung up. Jenny hopped down the street going to her house with a smile on her face cause Rose felt for Jenny’s lie. Rose slammed the door going to her room as loud as she could she was mad because Jenny couldn’t come to the beach with her.
Jenny was walking with her list down Maple Street with her mom. She screamed, “ROSE! cause she was surprised that Rose was here. And she went behind a bush. Rose heard her scream and knew it was Jenny. Rose figured out that Jenny was up to something.
Jenny wasn’t sure why Rose was here but she wanted to know. Rose knew Jenny was here because her face was showing in the bushes. Jenny eked, Rose is coming over!!!!! Rose heard her but didn’t see her. Ahah! Rose found her. She came over. Jenny said “I am so sorry I didn’t tell you about lying to you sooner, please forgive me?” Rose had a hard time deciding but rose couldn’t stay mad at her best friend so Rose forgave her and they became friends again and they promised that they would never lie to each other again.
