How Amy stayed Safe

Amy and her parents watched the news one day. They found out there was a virus called COVID-19. This virus is yucky and scary. The news said that wearing a mask will help keep them safe.
"Washing your hands a lot and wearing a mask is the best way to stay safe" said Bob from channel 4 news.
Amy looked in her room and found a mask, but it was not the right kind. It was her Halloween mask. She put it on anyway. She really wanted a mask like Bob's mask She wanted to stay Safe.
Amy's Dad went to the store and bought everyone a mask. She finally got the mask that she wanted. She can wear her mask 100 times or more. It can be washed again and again. Amy's new mask was tough and pretty too. She was so excited to wear her pretty mask
Amy's new mask was a perfect fit. Amy called her friend Mary and told her about the new mask. Mary just got her new mask too.
Amy wanted some ice cream and asked her Dad to take her. He told her to grab her mask and they drove to the ice cream shop. They decided to stay safe by wearing the mask inside the ice cream shop. They both wore a mask to protect their friends, family and neighbors. That virus is scary and invisible.
Amy wanted to eat her ice cream right away. As soon as they got back in the car, they took their masks off and ate their ice cream. They talked about how cool it was that everyone felt safe. The workers at the ice cream shop wore masks and the ice cream was super good. There was a long line of people and it was hot outside. .
Mom was waiting for them to get home. While she waited, she cleaned. the house. She knows how important it is to have a really clean house. She made sure Amy and Dad had clean hands as soon as they walked in the house.
Amy and her parents heard Bob say "It's important to wear a mask, clean your house and wash your hands."
Amy and her family made a choice to wear masks in public areas. They know that by wearing a mask and keeping their hands and house clean, they will feel safe. Amy and her family and friends are a team. Amy thinks its a good idea to wear a mask and Stay Safe. THE END .
