Reported at 10:15 a.m.: A woman’s visit to Preston Forest Shopping Center was a smashing disappointment. A burglar busted a vehicle window to take her stuff “without consent.”

Reported at 1:16 p.m.: “minor accident,” major annoyance. The reckless jerk of a motorist who wrecked into a woman’s vehicle at Inwood Village fled without taking responsibility.
Feb. 11
Before 9:25 a.m., a burglar broke into and stole from a woman’s vehicle at the Semones Family YMCA (Town North) in the 4300 block of Northaven Road.
Feb. 12
Before 1:02 a.m., a robber injured and stole from a woman at Inwood Tavern in the 7700 block of Inwood Road.
Feb. 13
Does this mean the truck was unlocked? Reported at 4:51 p.m., a prowler entered a woman’s vehicle without damaging it at NorthPark Center.
Reported at 2:57 p.m.: an unhappy Valentine’s Day. A thief took two bicycles from a home in the 4600 block of College Park Drive.

An elusive motorcyclist evaded police during an attempted traffic stop at 4:29 p.m. in the 7900 block of Devonshire Drive.

Officers responded at 4:55 p.m. to a wreck in the 6700 block of Northaven Road and found “abandoned property” (Was it a car?) along with a brown powder that might be heroin.
Feb. 17
At 9:26 a.m., a robber presented a note demanding money from the Chase Bank branch at Preston Forest Village.
Feb. 18
Before 4:24 p.m., a burglar broke the window of a man’s vehicle at Preston Commons, just north of Christ the King Catholic Church on Preston Road, to get inside and look around. Maybe just peek through glass next time.
Feb. 19
Officers responded at 5:21 a.m. to a “robbery in progress” at Preston Forest Village. Police redacted the name of the business the crooks hit.

Trespassing through the tulips? Police met at 12:33 p.m. with a woman who complained about an unwelcomed visitor at her home in the 6300 block of Tulip Lane.
Feb. 22
Before 12:10 p.m., a prowler at Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Inwood Road near Forest Lane snatched stuff out of the bed of a man’s truck.

Reported at 9:39 a.m., a guy at the 7-Eleven at Preston Forest Square wasn’t buying anything.

Before 8:04 a.m., a prowler pried the lock on a woman’s vehicle at a home in the 7200 block of Lane Park Drive.
Feb. 25
Stolen overnight before 10:41 a.m.: a woman’s vehicle at a home in the 6100 block of Northaven Road.
Feb. 26
Overnight before 8:05 a.m., a burglar used a prying tool to break a window and steal from a man’s vehicle at a home in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway.
March 1
Before 8:20 a.m., a lout pointed a handgun at a man in the 12900 Preston Road.
March 2
At 2:24 p.m., officers went to a home in the 4400 block of Walnut Hill Lane to investigate a March 1 burglary that damaged the door of a man’s vehicle.
March 3
Before 5:17 p.m., a purse snatcher shoved a woman to the ground at NorthPark Center and fled with her handbag.
March 5
At 1:06 p.m., a woman found herself parked without a license plate at a home in the 6000 block of Waggoner Drive after a crook took it off her vehicle.
March 6
Investigated at 8:48 p.m.: the theft of a man’s truck at a home in the 10600 block of Boedeker Street.
