Shortly before 11 a.m., an officer reported finding a gym bag “with assorted personal items” along the 6200 block of Interstate 635.

Reported at 3:31 p.m.: risky business. A brash would-be crook on June 7 attempted to steal from a U.S. Secret Service vehicle outside Bank of Texas on Sherry Lane.

When you have a pool, you want to avoid other P-words. Peek at these: Prowlers poached pool equipment on Palomar Lane. Such pilfering prompted a 60-yearold woman from the 5300 block to phone police at 7:11 p.m. Hope she didn’t have a party planned.

Reported at 6:04 p.m.: A “suspicious person” visiting Ulta Beauty at Preston Forest Village turned out to be a shoplifter.

Does the Dallas Police Department really consider this, as the online report calls it, a “routine investigation?” Officers responded at 3:57 p.m. to the 6600 block of Inwood Road because of a “lost police radio.” How was that one called in?

Reported at 8:19 p.m.: a “panhandler” received a criminal trespassing warning at the 7-Eleven at Preston Forest Square.

An employee at the Ulta store located at Preston and Forest reported that three people robbed the store, “forcefully” taking items around 7:30 p.m. June 29.

Someone in the 10000 block of Stone Canyon Road reported their car stolen around 9 a.m.

Police found a sad, lonely, abandoned vehicle in the 5000 block of Lovers Lane shortly before midnight.

At 11:14 p.m., a 44-year-old Dallas man reported that someone entered his car and pocketed some items without permission at Hillcrest High School.

At 4 a.m., a 41-year-old woman at the 6100 block of Interstate 635 reported that someone damaged her property “without consent.” Ask first, guys.

Before 11:49 a.m., a burglar broke a window to steal from a 41-year-old Irving man’s vehicle at a home in the 9100 block of Devonshire Drive.

Before 4:14 p.m. outside at Preston Center, a criminal pointed a gun at the head of a 52-year-old man.

Officers responded at 9:08 a.m. to a “major disturbance (violence)” at the 7-Eleven at Hillcrest Road and Northwest Highway, where an unwelcome visitor was warned away.
