The Lanza pedigree needs no introduction. When we saw this Lanza son, he definitely caught our interest. Once we saw High Class’s dam, we were sold. Just the type of cow we like, deep, good footed and good uddered. The High Class calves are sound structured, hairy and have the performance and growth. We weigh all of our cows the beginning of June as we process them for pasture. We do this to provide our customers with the birthweight as a % of dam calculation. We feel looking at the size of the cow is important when looking at birthweight. 100 lb calf out of a 1900 lb, 10 year old cow is different than a 100 lb calf out of a 1400 lb, two-year old cow.
