Peace is passionate about supporting mums and has also been responsible for co-founding non-profit organisation Mothers Helping Others, and co-authoring the book, "What I wish I knew before I became a mother'. Peace was awarded the Johnstone Shire Australia Day Citizen of the Year award in 2008 for her work with 'Mothers Helping Others' and was a Board Member of the Playgroup Queensland Board of Management from 2008 - 2010.
