Message from the Director:
Give the gift of fitness! Gift Certificates are available for purchase in all denominations.
For over 4000 years, humans have used the New Year as a way to set a new goal or intention for their life. Setting SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time bound – has been proven to be an effective way of determining steps to make a goal successful. Whether your goal is to get active, lose weight, change a habit or learn a new skill, the hardest part is just starting. Registering for a program or working out with a buddy are two great ways to ensure that you will be committed to achieving your goal. Recreation staff are happy to assist you in choosing a new program. In fact, your first day attending a fitness program is FREE: a great way to try something before you buy it.

Mountain View Ice Rink will be operational again this winter. This seasonal ice rink is 100% dependent upon the cooperation of Mother Nature and the amazing volunteers at Peachland Fire and Rescue. Please respect any ice closures so that we can maintain the integrity of the rink liner. We are optimistic that we will host a Family Day skating party there on Feb 17th (see p. 25 for details). We hope to see you at one of our programs or events this season.

Lions are a group of volunteers with good moral character and reputation within our community. We are members of Lions Clubs International, founded in 1917 and is now the world’s largest service club organization with over 1.4 million members in 190 countries. We maintain an active schedule of events in our community and are very much a “Hands-On” club volunteering our time throughout the year. We are always happy to have new members come out and join the crew. The Peachland Lions can afford you the opportunity to give back to the community and make new friends in the process. Aside from community involvement we are also a very socially active club.
