Connect • Ask the children if they have ever been on a farm. Have they seen a farm on TV or in a ﬁlm? What does a farm look like? What kinds of animals live on the farm? Ask if they know of any other farm animals? • Have the children collect all the animals from the set and look at them. Hide the animals under a blanket, and then have all the children except one close their eyes. Ask the selected child to pick up an animal without revealing what it is to the other children. Ask this child a question (e.g. does your animal have feathers? Does it say oink? Does it give milk? Can a person ride on it? Etc.). Based on the response, try and guess which animal the child has chosen. Ask up to 3 or 4 questions if required. Encourage the children to play the game among them.
