About PECB The Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB) is a personal certification body for various international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, ISO 26000 and ISO 28000. Established in 2005, PECB has earned a reputation for integrity, value and best practice by providing assurance through the evaluation and certification of professionals against rigorous, internationally recognized competence requirements. Our mission is to provide our clients comprehensive personnel examination and certification services. Certification represents the crossover of protection of the public, fairness to candidates, and often, various interests of the profession. Although these may appear to be competing interests, a well-designed certification program will be most effective in meeting these interests when its resources are deployed to enhance validity and reliability. The guidance that follows in our Quality Manual is intended to ensure that PECB develops, maintains and improves a high quality recognized certification program.

What certification means? When this process is complete you may designate yourself as a PECB Certified Trainer. You will be listed in the PECB’s Directory and Website, and will appear on the list of trainers sent to anyone in your area who asks for referrals, as long as you remain a member in good standing.
Steps and descriptions 1. Fill and submit the trainer application form Go to www.pecb.org/tcp to download the evaluation form Fill and submit the trainer application form together with your CV to trainer@pecb.org
2. Formal discussion with PECB The executive in charge of trainer evaluation will have a formal discussion with the trainer to enquire about any question the trainer may have regarding his/her responsibilities. The executive will also discuss with the trainer about PECB’s expectations and values.
3. Signing of trainer agrement and issuance of PECB CTC The executive will request the Trainer Agreement to be signed by the trainer before any training session is provided to or by the trainer. CEO shall sign the agreement on behalf of PECB. PECB will then review and sign the agreement.
4. Evaluation of the trainer’s knowledge, skills and experience The executive will evaluate the trainer based on the following criteria • Training Experience • Professional Experience • Familiarity with the Standard Depending of the results of his evaluation, a trainer can be ask to comply to additional criteria as follow a training session, give a course under supervision or pass an exam.
5. Continous evaluation and recertification of trainer After three years, all trainer course evaluations shall be reviewed and a decision for recertification will be based on the results of the trainer’s course evaluations. A trainer may have his/her certification maintained if he/she performs adequately. In the case of low course evaluations, retraining may be required. In some cases, trainer certification may be revoked.
PECB PROVIDES TO ITS CERTIFIED TRAINERS UP TO THREE-HOUR LONG DISTANCE TRAINING SESSIONS. • 1 st session: review of the training material. Pecb will review some parts of the training that are deemed critical and answer candidates’ questions • 2nd session: the certified trainer candidate will perform a 20-30 minutes presentation on a part of the training material • 3rd session: review of the ISO world, and certification/accreditation process. These sessions will be held at www .pecb-training.org (access information will be provided to you). Requirements to access our system are a computer with microphone and decent internet connection.
