Trail Tracker off-road route
Turn right and take the first left up Brewery Lane to Thrupp lane. Turn left for 1km to Clay Pits Lane, which is a sharp right turn, a steep section to test yourself on. It flattens out, but after 1km take a left at a T junction. Follow the road for 1.5km. At a CROSS ROADS turn right. It says there is no through road. That’s true for cars. After about 1km the road turns into a track. Snake your way down to the bottom. At the bottom, turn back on yourself along the path following the stream. It goes for 2km until it pokes out onto a TOADSMORE ROAD just above a set of traffic lights. Nice ride down the hill. Take a left at the bottom of the hill onto the main road until you get to Chalford and the Lavender Bakehouse. Opposite this Bakehouse you are looking for the entrance to a path pictured to the left here and exit the path where the picture to the right suggests. (Get off the path don’t go under the bridge). Off the path it’s left, then an immediate right. A playground will be on your right as you cycle along the road. Follow the road for 1.5km until a junction with a house splitting the road. Take a right over the bridge. Follow this winding road for another 1km until you find the Crown Inn. From the crown head straight out along the road to the crossroads at the A419. Cross straight over and take the first right to Cherington 1km away. After another 1.5km on a sharp bend you are moving off road through this gate on your right. Cross the field. There is a gate at the other end of this field. Keep going beyond this gate keeping the airfield on your right and fields on the left. You go through a small wooded section then the track opens up a little bit. Just keep going. Eventually it becomes tarmac at the point where a large yellow house appears on the left. Keep going further until a crossroads. Go straight over. At the next junction turn right and follow the road all the way through Minchenhampton until the Common appears. Make your way across the common in whatever route you like stopping perhaps at one of the suggested refreshment stops. Eventually make your way the Winstones ice Cream, Factory. From here you need to take the steep down hill path on the left of the Ice Cream Factory. Follow it down to a gate. Through the gate turning left onto the road. Keep going for 2km until an angled crossroads. Take a right down the hill. This will meet traffic lights at the bottom. Turn left, after 200 yards find the BP garage on left and clean the bikes with a jet wash if needed or right for 1km to find Pedego HQ.
