Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy Make The Change (MTC) is the first social enterprise in Singapore to advocate design for social good. We engage creative communities to provide creative support to organizations in the social sector to help them fulfill their social missions. To deepen our social impact and create an eco-system for design for good across all sectors, we organize events, educational programmes and community activities that integrate various stakeholders such as government agencies, corporates, social organizations, schools and beneficiary groups.

The Design For Good (DFG) is an initiative started in 2015 by MTC, aimed at engaging and provoking community to use works of creativity and design to make a difference and positively influence and change the world.
Through following activities, we engage and educate different sectors to come together to embrace Design For Good in their sphere of influences. We organise yearly <Design For Good> Public Talk, <Design For Good> School Talk, <Design For Good> Youth Competition and <Design For Good> Corporate Talk.
Highlights of DFG Youth Competition 2015: • • •
We received 350 entries from 6 participated secondary schools. 5 Winning teams were selected by judges: Rafffles Girls Secondary School, Temasek Secondary School and Whitley Secondary School. Design For Good Youth Competition ABOUT DESIGN FOR GOOD YOUTH COMPETITION
DFG Youth Competition is a yearly event that engages secondary school students to use their creativity, arts and design to address a social cause given by a local NGO. The winning teams will receive prizes, award certificates and social enterprise mentorship program by MTC. On top of that, their ideas will be adopted and implemented in thereal campaign by the NGO. Credits will be mentioned to the selected team. Through this competition, students will learn more about the social issue as well as how to apply their creative thinking in problem solving through visual communication. We appreciate your time to support and encourage your students to participate.

In Singapore, depression is the most common mental illness and according to a study*, 1 in 17 Singaporeans has depression at least once in their lifetime. *Singapore Mental Health Study 2010
About Client: CHAT (Community Assessment Health Team)
Established since 2009, CHAT was set up by the Institute of Mental Health. Focusing on raising awareness of youth mental health concerns, providing access to mental health resources and offering a free and confidential mental health check.
CHAT Youth Outreach Program <Burst the Silence>
<Burst the Silence> is a project to de-stigmatise mental health issues among youths in Singapore. It is a place where people can come and tell their story of Depression and Anxiety and show that you do not have to suffer Mental illness alone.

Digital posters have to be printed for submission. Each submission must be attached with submission label (can be download from bit.ly/dfgform) • Submissions will be collected by organiser at school office on pre-scheduled time slot.
