N/A 2 5 0 0 S Q . F T. COMMERCIAL LIBRARY USE OF GEOMETRY PRINCIPLES
PROJECT DESCRPITION While there are many things I would consider sacred in my life, this project is designed as a personal sacred library, to represent the importance of education and knowledge. When asked to design a sacred space, I was challenged to consider what values I hold in highest esteem. After some soul searching, I settled on a library space, which would allow me storage and display of my books, as well as a lounge and study area. There is an outdoor pavilion, where I would be able to study and meditate. The design of the plan is derived from various combinations of sacred geometry, including use of golden rectangle and minor sixth rectangle. The exterior relies on classical proportions and symmetry as well, to honor the tradition of geometry and it’s history.

VIEQUES ISLAND, PUERTO RICO 1 5 0 , 0 0 0 S Q . F T. MIXED USE RESORT SUSTAINABLE MEDITERRANEAN
PROJECT DESCRPITION The eco-resort contains a small village, located on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. After finding a real site on the island where the project could be actualized, the design of the buildings and interiors was developed. It is intended to house local indigenous peoples, as well as provide an eco-resort for locals and tourists. The resort contains a spiritual center, where the community can gather and enjoy a multi-purpose space, as well as a spa. There is a lodge as well, including a restaurant, public leisure rooms and common kitchen. As well there are various huts for temporary living, as well as bungalows, which contain the more luxurious accomodations. The resort contains a living machine, solar panels to provide electrictiy, and rainwater catchment systems. Solar patterns were studied to maximize efficiency and solar gain.
