Thank You, Neighbors! Thank you to all the residents that came out to Cookies With Santa! We especially thank Burt Vickers who played the role of Santa, Nicole Chovantez who was the event photographer, Peter Dayton and for our elves Heike, Heidi and Erick Davis.We also thank those who brought toys for the Happy Bear Toy Drive. Winchester Country appreciates the support of our residents and looks forward to Cookies With Santa 2014.
Easter Event Volunteers Needed We are seeking Winchester Country residents that would like to volunteer for the upcoming Easter event. This is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors, help out the community and HAVE FUN! We need help with serving snacks, the egg hunt, games and a special visitor that might be hopping in… The event is set for Saturday, April 12th, from 2 to 4pm. SENIORS’ CLUB If you are 55 years old and older we are looking for you. We meet the 4th Monday of every moth at the Winchester Country Clubhouse. We meet for snacks and fellowship. We play Dominions: Train and Chicken foot. We also play bingo, cards and other games all while enjoying each others company. We go out to eat and attend plays at the 1960 Playhouse, Houston Family Arts Center on Grant Road. All seniors in Winchester Country are invited to attend. Winchester Country CLUBHOUSE RENTALS WINCHESTER COUNTRY SWIM & TENNIS CLUB 9607 RIO GRANDE HOUSTON, TEXAS 77064 281-890-8856 Any Winchester Country resident who is current on their maintenance fee may rent the clubhouse. To expedite your rental, please call our Community Coordinator at our voice mailbox at 281-890-8856 or email wmcaclubhouse@ winchester-country.org and leave the following information: • Your name and address • Date and time you wish to rent (if known) • A daytime phone number (if possible as we try to return all phone calls weekdays between 8am and 5 pm) CLUBHOUSE RENTAL GENERAL INFORMATION: • Our Clubhouse has two rooms that may used separately or as one large room. • Clubhouse #1 holds approximately 80 people and has ten 6ft rectangular tables and 80 chairs. Full kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. • Clubhouse #2 holds approximately 40 people and has five 60 inch in diameter round tables plus 40 chairs. Microwave, coffee maker and a small refrigerator. RENTAL RATES: • All Rentals must pay a refundable $250 deposit. Your deposit check will be destroyed upon post-rental inspection or may be returned if you supply a self addressed, stamped envelope. • Renting both rooms $30.00 the first hour • $20.00 each additional hour • Renting one room $20.00 the first hour $10.00 each additional hour • All rentals have a ½ hour before and a ½ hour after to setup and clean up at no charge. DOG PARK DOG PARK RULES
This Dog Park is an off leash Dog Park and is maintained by WCMA and is for the private use for residents of Winchester Country only. • Dog owners/parents are responsible for picking up and disposing of all of their dogs waste and any hair caused from brushing or trimming your pet. • Dog Park hours are 5:00 a.m. to dusk. • All dogs must be leashed when entering and leaving the park. • All dogs must have current rabies and all vaccinations as required by the Harris County Public Health Department and should be healthy and free of contagious diseases and parasites. • Dogs must wear current license tags in the Dog Park. • Dog owners/parents must carry a copy of the dog’s rabies vaccination certificate while in the Dog Park. • Never leave dogs unattended. • Dogs must be in view of and within voice control of their owner/parent at all times. • Dog owners/parents must carry a leash with them at all times while in the Dog Park. • Dogs in HEAT are prohibited. • Dogs showing any signs of aggression must be leashed and immediately removed from the park. • Dogs under 4 months of age are prohibited. • All dogs must be under the control of an adult. • No bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or any motorized vehicles. USE OF THIS DOG PARK IS AT YOUR OWN RISK! DOG OWNERS/PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS AND BEHAVIOR OF THEIR DOGS AT ALL TIMES. In case of an emergency call 911.
