Swim lessons, Early Swimming, Pool Parties…Oh My! By: Jennifer Sobotik

The Encino Park pool has always been a warm and inviting place where the families and friends of this neighborhood can come to relax, work on their tan, compete in athletic events, learn how to swim, and build lifelong relationships with their neighbors. The pool provides many positive aspects for our neighborhood members and children who live and work here in Encino Park. This past summer, the pool committee had a few new ideas to help utilize the pool in hopes of keeping our community growing strong. We also would like to continue to build and nurture relationships among the families that reside here in Encino Park this summer and will continue with some of the same activities. Speaking of the pool and this summer, we have some exciting news! We had such a successful summer last year with swim lessons that we are planning on continuing with our curriculum-based swimming program for this year as well! Like last summer, the students will participate in a semi-private setting, while having the lessons catered individually to each child’s specific needs. Swim lessons will be offered throughout the entire summer season. Swim lesson sign up forms are provided in the following pages of the newsletter, as well as dates and times for additional registration periods. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our HOA office at epmgr1923@gmail.com. (Continued on Page 2)

We look forward to seeing everyone come out and join us for early swimming and Family Night parties this summer! For those of you who like to know specific dates and times to start planning out your summer fun, the following information should be of some help to you. The pool will officially open on weekends starting Saturday, May 10th, with normal pool hours from 12pm8pm. Once school is out for the summer, starting June 5th, the pool will be open daily. When school starts back up on Monday, August 25th, the pool will continue to be open with normal hours on weekends only. The pool season will officially come to a close after the final weekend of September 13/14 th. We look forward to seeing familiar faces at the pool this summer, as well as meeting many new!
