REPORT OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 9 Submitted by Mary Beth Kreml

TNW POA MEETING

TUESDAY OCTOBER 14, 2014 ∙ 4:30 P.M. AT CLUBHOUSE ALL RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. RESIDENT INPUT 6:30 P.M. WWW.TERRANOVAWEST.COM ∙ WWW.PREFERREDMGT.COM

CONSTABLE: 281-376-3472

GENERAL It was great to have homeowners attend the meeting and be involved in our neighborhood. They mentioned that they appreciate learning about the meeting from reading the information in the newsletter and from information on both announcement boards. Please note that minutes of the meetings will be posted to our new website, http://www.terranovawest. com. Our new management company, Preferred Management Services, reports that 160 residents have requested logins. If you haven’t registered, please do! According to Preferred Management, there is a completion date for the traffic lights on T.C. Jester. The entire project is scheduled to “go live” late May 2015, so we’ll have the stop signs in place a while longer.

CLUBHOUSE Chairs in the clubhouse will soon be getting new covers; and the Haunted House is scheduled for October 30 and 31. It will surely be a spookily good time for all!

CONSTABLE There were no thefts from vehicles in August. Great news!! Continue to keep valuables in your car/truck out of sight; and most importantly, keep your vehicle locked – even if it is parked Copyright © 2014 Peel, Inc.

in your driveway. There were two burglaries of a habitation; one was through a back gate and back window, and one was theft of garage items when a garage door was left open overnight. If you see a neighbor’s garage door open late at night, consider calling them to let them know. The constables also noted that there was one identity theft. Constables drove over 1,500 miles through our neighborhood during the month of August and continue to monitor motorists driving the speed limit and stopping at stop signs.

TENNIS COURTS After you register on our new website, you will be able to see the tennis calendar to learn when the courts are reserved and/ or open.

PLAYGROUND Soon the playground will be getting new mulch, new mats and some new swings. Enjoy the fall weather in the coming months and bring your children to the playground!

SWIMMING POOL The current pool slide will be removed within the coming weeks, and it will be replaced with a brand new slide for next year’s swim season. We know that children will love the new slide!! Watch the website for pictures after it is installed! Dianne Moynihan, our swimming pool coordinator, reports that the Swimming Pool is now closed for the season. The April 2015 Newsletter will list the days and hours for wristband distribution (Continued on Page 3) Whispering Pines - October 2014

The first show will be The Game’s Afoot by Ken Ludwig, a farcical comedy who-done-it. Set in December of 1936, the play tells the story of Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes. He has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Performance dates are Oct. 23, 24 and 25. For more information, visit http:// www.kleinforestdrama.org.

FINANCIAL

The Board is very pleased with the reports and financial information that Preferred Management Services provides.
