Real Estate—It seems to be the most talked about, wild ride these days. Homes are being snatched up in one day on the market, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars above list price, and even having their appraisal contingencies waived! Who knew that it would get this crazy, or how long it will last? No one knows! This market couldn't have been predicted. What we do know is that we are fortunate to live in Texas and even more so being in the Houston real estate market. Our abundance of highly sought after communities is a huge reason that people are moving to Texas. Their location, great schools, and the countless amenities they have to offer are just some of the reasons people are excited to settle in our neighborhoods! Here is an inside look at one of the areas' top teams, living in and serving Fairfield, and the greater Houston area. When you hear the phrase, “Together We’re Better,” it may remind you of the Ellis-Nabors Real Estate Team logo you have seen posted on their ads, and on social media. But to the team, “Together We’re Better” isn’t just a slogan; it is a way of life. That dynamic team was co-founded in 2009 by Clint & Amy Nabors and her parents, Mark & Catherine Ellis. Mark had been in real estate since 1983, and Clint, licensed in 1999, had graduated with a degree in real estate from Baylor University. In 2015 they joined Better Homes & Gardens-Gary Greene to better serve their clients. Over the years, they have steadily grown to include more agents and staff—all of whom understand the Fairfield market because most of them live here. Like any forwardthinking team, they are plugged into Houston and its surrounding areas because they have members who also live in Bridgeland, Cypress Creek Lakes & Jersey Village. Collectively, they have sold over 500 homes in Fairfield alone and average 150 real estate transactions in any given year. They also continuously rank as a top producing team within Gary Greene and have received numerous awards from the Houston Business Journal! As for its co-founder, Clint Nabors, he is passionate about cultivating new talent, mentoring existing agents, and sharing his vast knowledge and depth of experience. He enjoys guiding his proteges in positive directions and helping them achieve a rewarding and successful career in real estate. Clint’s passion and commitment to excellence have led him to become the Branch Manager and Real Estate Coach for the Fairfield Office. His wife, Amy Nabors, has taken the lead role for the Ellis-Nabors Team, and she continues to help her team exceed the expectations of every client. Copyright © 2021 Peel, Inc.

Whether working with buyers or sellers, the team is committed to maintaining good follow-up and the highest standards. Plus, they offer cutting-edge marketing support that strongly emphasizes 21st century sales technology, including automated systems, artificial intelligence, and services like staging, professional photography, video and aerials. Their team of professionals is committed in every way possible to helping their clients with one of the most important decisions they will ever make. The Ellis-Nabors Team is backed by one of the top brokerages in Houston, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate. The support and training the agents receive from that forward-thinking firm contributes to their successes, along with the coaching they receive from Clint. Clint has said, “It takes a company with its finger on the pulse and an eye to the future to ride the waves of the real estate market, and that is what we are all committed to doing.” The Ellis-Nabors Team is constantly looking to provide service to the community and give back. They partner with many local businesses and schools, and have fun doing it. They are known for their annual Shred Events, National Night Out, Candy Cane Fun Run, Running for Greater Things, and more! Their agents have charities near and dear to their hearts that they support as well. The Gary Greene office features many events as well. They will be holding a Community-Wide Low-Cost Pet Vaccination Event with local vendors, people from the neighborhood, and pet lovers. It will be a family-fun event with food trucks, face painters, and pet adoptions. More information on this event coming, stay tuned. The Beacon Mary Ruth Simonson & Hannah Schlachter, Ault PTO Butterfly Garden Co-Chairs

The Ault Butterfly Garden was in tip-top shape for the first day of school, thanks to the volunteers who came to our "Big Help" event the week before school started. Garden committee volunteers have been maintaining, weeding, and watering the garden all summer. Still, a big push right before the school ensured that our beautiful garden was ready to welcome our All-Stars back to campus. Adults and kids alike worked on adding soil, making a new bed for a donated mandarin orange tree, spread mulch, weed, and add pea gravel to our painted rock walkway. Students worked together to make a new "star" from donated flagstone pavers. Caterpillars are munching away on pipevine, milkweed, and passion vine, and we'll have more butterflies soon. Come check it out! 10 cool facts that about butterflies 1. Butterfly wings are transparent. 2. There are almost 20,000 butterfly species. 3. Butterflies use their feet to taste. 4. It’s a rewarding experience to know that they trust me with what’s precious to them: their health. I take that trust and confidence in me very seriously. The Beacon

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD welcomed students back to 92 campuses Aug. 23, beginning the 2021-2022 school year that marks the district’s 82nd year in existence. The school year marked a return to more traditional learning. “We’ve been looking forward to the day where we would have the majority of our kids back in the building,” said Melissa Martin, Francone Elementary School principal. “Even with the changes at the start of the year, everyone has taken it in stride. We’re putting health and safety first.” Added Martha Strother, Brautigam Center principal: “It’s great being back. We just love the happy noises that kids make and the energy that they bring to our hallways and classrooms. We’ve all learned a little bit about not having kids with us and we know they’re a blessing to have.” A number of other campuses opened their doors to students following a variety of completed renovation projects to update the schools and improve learning environments. Safety and security upgrades funded by the 2019 and 2014 Bond programs continued to take shape throughout the district. The first day allowed students and parents to see the overwhelming support for CFISD. School namesakes, Board of Trustees members and numerous volunteers helped welcome students in the morning. Many visited elementary campuses and joined countless other volunteers from community, business and faith-based partners in serving as Bus Buddies in the afternoon. First Day of School 2: A sign in front of Keith Elementary School celebrates the first day of school Aug. 23 and welcomes students back to campus. Lakes of Fairhaven - October 2021 5
