LOEN Ladies Club Information

Autumn has officially arrived whether or not the temperatures reflect it. This is a great time of year to consider checking out LOEN”S Ladies Club. It’s a women-only social organization formed in 2005 to help LOEN ladies meet neighbors and make friends. The club provides members with opportunities to socialize through monthly activity and game groups that meet year-round. There are groups that meet during the day and others at night providing lots of different ways for members to meet their neighbors and make friends. We also hold general meetings, open to all LOEN ladies, in the evenings throughout the year at the LOEN Clubhouse.

Ladies, whether you are new to LOEN or a long-time resident, we would love for you to join our fun and diverse club, meet your neighbors, and make new friends. Not sure if you’re ready to join yet, then try out a group out first by attending a monthly meeting. Just contact us to attend one of our activity groups as a visitor and then, if you like us, you can join the Ladies Club! Also, be on the lookout for notices on the NabrNetwork site for other communitywide events that are posted occasionally. If you would like more information or are ready to join, please contact Jeanne MacKenzie at loenladiesclubpresident@gmail.com.

The final proceeds raised at our Candy Cane Market will help our organization to fund many educational opportunities for our members and the community. These opportunities include our ABWA Regional & National Conference attendance, Local Scholarships, the National SBMEF Scholarship Trust and our CFEF Endowment. You may also visit www.cyfen.org for more information regarding our organization. OCTOBER 2022

“HOW PROLIFIC”

This thing happens every once in a while, and it changes all you thought you knew. Those things interrupt regularly scheduled programming and give you something new to explore, who knows, maybe even grow to love.

To the fellow music fan, follower, listener, and professional, Cypress has become more of a mecca for music than ever! Since May 2021, CYPRESS MUSIC SCENE alone has grown to nearly 5,000 members! The Cypress and surrounding areas are home to a growing music culture, and data from the last 60 days agree! Numbers showing over 725 people (+290% vs. July 2022) have posted & commented & over 53,800 people (+166.97% vs. July 2022) have used CMS as a resource for their live music needs! Now THAT looks like a music-loving community to me!

As I travel around the community, music venues surround me, and I can’t help but feel like it’s all just getting started. Hundreds of music makers have surfaced, and working amongst them is one of the most significant privileges of my life. I’ve witnessed firsthand what love looks like in a music community. It seems like the last-minute drives we make, so we don’t miss those special moments that happen live on stage. It looks like spending our hard-earned dollars by dropping them in the tip jars. It seems like proudly wearing the shirts of local musicians because you took home a souvenir from a great time. Above everything else, love for music looks good on us.
