The Ideal Figure
Written and Illustrated by Peggy Jee
For Mervin, the only 100.
0 accepted 1’s friend request and it turns out, 0 is actually a really friendly and welcoming figure.
Hey my name’s One! Sorry to come off weird or something but I hope you don’t mind talking and making new friends? Hey no worries I’m fine with making new friends, I’m Zero. Anyway how did you find out about my profile?? I’m just surprised someone would actually add me in here. That’s a very good question Zero. Your profile is mysterious and that really sparked my curiosity! Everyone on this site tries so hard to outdo each other with interesting biographies & photos, it gets really boring after awhile.
Oh okay, well I’m not very interesting so yeah nothing much to put up here. Joined the site to see what the hype is all about. So how’s life?
Not to brag but life’s pretty great cos’ of this awesome job I have. They pay’s good, I love the job & everything’s pretty much perfect! Anyway enough about myself, why not we meet up someday when you’re free & get lunch or something? Then we can talk somemore Don’t worry I’m not a serial killer ok
omg it’s really nice to know that someone out there is happy with life you know? Uhm, I’m not very sure about the idea but I’ll let you know because it sounds great! I’ve nothing much going on anyway hahaha I’ll bring a knife incase you are!
0 completed 1 because 0 has always been what 1 was looking for. 1 was the complete opposite 0, as they say, opposites attract.
1 was still the same, just a little less aggressive, a little less of what 1 used to be.
1 was self-reliant & had an individualistic mindset but now that 1 is a 100,
Everyone envied 100 because everyone knows that 100 is the definition of what itÕs like to be perfect.

You will need a 0 to complete you, to make you a perfect 100.
you, to make you a perfect 100. You will need a 0 to complete
Be your own rendition of 100 instead and know that it is okay to be an imperfect 100.
A not so Editor’s Note: I would like to thank all the sleepless nights, printing shop auntie, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, the internet, coffee, cigarettes, my friends and my mom, the money used for buying paper, printing and binding, my film & digital camera, Uber/Grabcar driver for sending me to school. Lastly, thank God for pulling me through this.
This is a book about everybody’s ideal figure.
