Suggested Activities P2

Show the children pictures of people wearing clean clothes, and people wearing dirty clothes. Ask the children, “Do you like wearing clean clothes or dirty clothes? Why do you say so? What do you do when your clothes get dirty?”

P3

Prepare pictures of children wearing school uniforms, shirts, trousers, dresses, swimsuits, T-shirts, shorts, socks and shoes. Prepare pictures of a birthday party, a classroom, a field and the beach. Get the children to match the pictures of the children in different clothes to the correct places. Teach the children to wear suitable clothes depending on the function and place.

Ask the children if they are grateful for the things they have. Discuss the importance of being grateful for the things they have.

Take a book from the shelf, a ruler from the pencil holder and a box of coloured pencils from the drawer. Get the children to put the things back where they belong. Remind the children that they should always put things back where they belong. Discuss the consequences of not doing so.

Get 4 children to role-play as hosts and guests. Observe how the hosts treat their guests. Teach them to be polite to their guests.

Observe the children during their mealtimes. See if the children finish their food. Teach the children not to waste food. Discuss the consequences of wasting food.

Show the children pictures of clean food and food that is dirty. Ask the children to identify the food they can or cannot eat. Discuss the consequences of eating food that is dirty.

Tell the children that they should not take things that do not belong to them. Discuss with the children the consequences of taking things that do not belong to them.

Get the children to share their experiences of showing concern for others. Encourage the children to show concern for others around them.

Ask the children if they respect people. Encourage the children to show respect to people.

P 14´

Divide the children into 3 groups. Give each group a task (pour a jug of water into several cups, break eggs into a bowl, carry the cups of water to the table). Observe whether the children are careful when doing the tasks. Teach them the importance of being careful when doing things.

Show the children a picture of a child who is helpful, and a picture of a child who is not helpful. Ask the children to point out the one who is doing the right thing. Encourage the children to be helpful. Discuss the importance of being helpful. (Suggest using Kids’ Time application to view 3D animations.)

Discuss with the children ways to keep the beach clean. Teach the children the importance of keeping the beach clean. (Suggest using Kids’ Voice application to encourage children to record and listen to their voice for better pronunciation.)

Tell the children that they should not swim when their father or mother is not with them. Discuss the dangers of swimming alone.
