LISTEN TO THE DONKEY AND THE BEAR
a funny storybook by Aby Hartog
World Rights Available
“Can you teach me how to climb a tree?” asked the donkey.
“I just start running,” said the bear, “and when I reach the tree, I’ll keep on running, but upwards.”
“I should be able to do that,” said the donkey.
“I don’t think so,” said the bear.
The donkey gave it a try. He took a run, dashed towards the tree, and hit his head.
“Thud,” went the tree.
“Ow!” cried the donkey.
“Yup,” said the bear.
They are quirky. Adventurous, resourceful. Cranky, but sweet. Sometimes philosophical, but just as often wonderfully pragmatic. The donkey and the bear are friends for life. They don’t shy away from a challenge. No mountain is too high, no situation too dangerous.
