contracts with him. (e.g Doublemint ad) He just completely dropped off the face of the earth, silence that was almost deafening. Rihanna though tried to get her life back together by creating a collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West called ‘Run This Town’ on 11th August. Big hit of course. She proved that the rough start earlier that year had no impact on her singing career, she ran that town for sure. Two days later though CB’s song ‘Changed Man’ was released. Is it a comeback or a song from his up-coming album? Nope, it was reported to be recorded and written after the assault. The song says obviously that he’s a ‘Changed man’ and he feels like’ everybody hates Chris.’ The song was not very popular, few fans responded to it. Rihanna reportedly cried when she first heard it.

Chris Brown’s Magical year (2009)

by Orielle Jeffrey

Ok so Mr. All-So-Famous and Cute Chris Brown is enjoying life as usual doing what he does best, singing and dancing at the beginning of 2009. Then one February night he catches a “vaps” and slammed the lights outta Rihanna. Who hasn’t heard about this story? It hit entertainment news real hard eh. This is what I heard happened: The fight started over a text message CB received from another woman offering a booty call, Ree Ree got vex, jumped out the car and CB grabbed her, she pulled away and that’s when he hit her, says a journalist from the Daily News. Spin Magazine agreed with this story saying that Rihanna tossed the car keys outside the car, CB responded by choking and threatening to kill Rihanna. Pictures show brutal hits she received to the face, a black eye and cracked up lips. Sounds completely crazy ent? Some say he reacted so because of his abusive background. This happened on the 9th of February 2009. Since then there have been talks of hatred for CB and Ree Ree. Different opinions as fans of the two singers fight on who is right or wrong. Chris Brown pleaded guilty and was required to do six months of community labour and serve five years probation. He’s to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna. This caused some to lock off his music completely while others still supported him. This created a big stir for Hip-Hop music and all his loyal fans.Did this mark the complete end of Chris Brown’s music career? Did he have to look for another profession? Maybe a boxer? This ran through a lot of fans head. They stopped hearing from him on the radio, no tour concerts, no performance at Kids Choice Awards, he didn’t even get nominated for an award, several companys ended

But on September 29th CB released one of his songs from his released album ‘Graffiti’ ‘I can Transform Ya’. This in collaboration with Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz. It rocked the charts. CHRIS BREEZY IS BACK!! His video supporting the song prefectly showing exactly why he’s so big in the “game”. It showed why he has as much fans as he does. The entire album ‘Graffiti’ was also a big hit. It seemed like nothing had ever happened. This brought a prefect end to Chris Brown’s magical year of 2009, a memorable one for him indeed. What a lucky nigga he is, lost and regained his fame all in 2009.

“Well it’s me Prince C the mystery, blessed be the glory, spiritually magic, Bling back on the attack, Coo Coo” – magical words said by the amazing artist Prince C. Curtis Bethelmy better known as Prince C is an upcoming artist in the music industry. At a very young age he was exposed to music by his grandmother Adina Boxhill (deceased). He grew in church seeing her directing the choir, singing and playing different instruments such as the keyboard, the trumpet and the guitar. He started off playing the tambourine, and from there he jumped from instrument to instrument. Thus music is not just a career choice for him it is who he is. Practicing music for 21 years was not a solo project it was a collaborative effort, better yet a family affair, his brother Marvin Bethelmy, his sister Charlene Bethelmy and their cousin Jamilia Lloyd, were all members of a unique home style band created by themselves for themselves simply for the enjoyment of their music. Triple X (Eddie Charles) and Positive (Joel Murray) were both collaborative partners Prince C worked with in Trinidad and Tobago. Mexico, Grand Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Miami,

Florida, Boston, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and the Bahamas were all countries privileged enough to receive his talent. When asked, what type of artist he considered himself to be, he replied, “Whatever my music is to you, that’s what my music is, because music is me”. He uses the adjective ambitious to describe himself, because he is working hard with God on his side. Junior Reid close friend to Prince C inspired him with the idea for his new release God’s Party. The

catchy catch phrase “We Having a Party” created by Junior Reid, landed its place in Prince C’s latest release God’s Party, Joseph Carver Thompson mixed and mastered it. Prince C took the same hook (chorus) and added the words and turned it around, into something great. He felt established when his song was finally recorded. He has marketed by himself by creating a facebook account, a group and a fan page. He even used youtube.com to upload a slide-show, for the fans to listen to his song. A video is in the making for his release God’s Party. It should be out on January 16th 2010. He has written 15 songs thus far and for all of his accomplishments he thanks the Lord and his Saviour Jesus Christ. But it was not an easy task for him to reach at this point where he’s currently at as he has been through a lot as a child. He grew up seeing his father selling drugs and abusing his mother. After a while his parents separated, due to the separation he went to live with his father. While at his father’s residence he ran away on

countless occasions because of the discomfort caused by the passing amusements better known as the girlfriends in and out of his father’s life. Hence the reason for his constant wandering to find not just peace but a piece of mind. After a while he returned to his mother, but it was still a struggle, because financially it was hard. His grandmother used her pension to take care of him, and his mom used her social welfare. His turning point was when his mother passed away in April 2009. It was hard to move on after her death, but Prince C said that the Father (God) was with him so it made it easier. “My rose in the dessert” was the song he wrote about his mother when she passed away. There were times where he felt like giving up, times when he felt as though the walls were closing in, but just knowing that he had something better gave him the courage to move on.

continued.... In the next five years this young man sees himself owning his own business “God Son Inc.”, with his two friends Junior Reid, Sheldon Thomas a.k.a. Swanky and more people along the way, because he is an upcoming music producer. This company will also be providing DJ(disc jockey) services, Trucking, Drivers, a Music school, and most importantly a pre-school because of his passion for making music with children. Besides his business ideas some of his goals are to minister to people with his music, sharing experiences with people, helping them in any way possible, spreading God’s word and travelling the world.

Prince C is a mastermind at producing music, hence the reason for the name “magic”. While interviewing him, there was something he said that grabbed my intention, he said, “I rather die than to live without him.” He was referring to God in his quote, his love for God is admirable, young people should aspire to be more like Prince C making God the forefront in everything that they do. His story still goes on, but these details are being shared now on Pellau, if you have a dream in life, work at it, if you want too reach somewhere in life work towards it, there’s no time like the present, so: “Well its me Prince C the mystery, blessed be

the glory, spiritually magic, Bling back on the attack, Coo Coo,” and one day that could be you too. Prince C would like to thank: God, God Son Inc., Bishop David Ibeleme, His Woman of Business (H.J.), Esther Williams & family, My father Steve Bethelmy and family, all my friends, Pastor Ann Diaz & family, Papa (Pastor Laurence Mc Clean) & family, Dada (Arden Joseph)& family, The magazine, Osi Miri, The writer for choosing me, Darlene and God once again. Interview with Jenelle Bedeau written by: Dexter Tittil Petite, sexy, fashionista, chic, edgy, sassy, punk and many other words can be used to describe the style, fashion and personality of Jenelle Bedeau. This 21 year old student and model aspires to be a translator and interpretor of the french language for the United Nations or FIFA, but has a passion for modelling which she hopes can take her as far as the European fashion industry. In an attempt to know more we at Pellau Magazine sat down with this enthusiastic young beauty with a number of questions. How did you get into modeling? Well my mom pushed me into it at a young age far before I believed I was capable of doing it… like they say mother knows best! (A big smile on her face) Do you think there was any specific reason that she pushed you into it? Of course, well when I was 6 I could walk in heels better than Trya Banks herself (laughs), when I was just 6 I would make clothes for myself and put on mini fashion shows for my family and they saw that passion. You said earlier that you were pushed into it before you believed you were capable of doing it, why did you think at that time you weren’t capable and did being pushed into it before you were ready had any bad effects or regrets? Well I didn’t think I was capable because to me, I did not fit the description of a model then… but hey look at me now (laughs) and being pushed into it before being ready helped a lot in my personal development, I grew more self confidence and it was easy for me to present myself to people and I became more expressive, although I always was.

mention one thing, it would be all the scheming there are a lot of people out there exploiting young aspiring models, boy have I heard some horror stories. Just for the interest of the guys Jenelle are you single? (giggles) No I am not… sorry (smiles) Is it hard trying to balance modeling and school and your personal life? It depends on how hard you work, generally modeling is quite demanding and once you know how far you want to get you got to push just as hard and if you set your mind to make that sacrifice then you will eventually find that balance. So, what is next for you in the future? First and foremost I just want to graduate as soon as possible (laughs) UWI is challenging because of all the distractions and I am the type who plans a lot and I’m trying HARD to keep that focus. In terms of modeling, we just have to wait and see what the future holds (smiles) Is there any advice you want to give to aspiring models? If you know this is what you want, stick it out believe in yourself on the days you feel down dress up and pretend that every step you take that day is on a runway and NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK!!! (smiles)

Is there a time when you started that you were not interested?

Is there a way that persons interested in booking you for shows, shoots or fashion shows can contact you?

NEVER!!! (Stern face) I always loved it! That passion was always there, don’t think anyone can out that fire (giggles)

Yes of course, you can reach me at 786-3702 or through Kyron Grandison at 485-7573 or at

What type of modeling do you do?

www.thebossymagazine.com

I do all types but I mostly do print (high fashion, swim wear, formal wear) and promotions. I don’t do much runway because in Trinidad they don’t really accept short models as yet, no worries… soon! (Smiles) Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry here in Trinidad? Yes, there are a lot of things that needs to be changed, but I guess in time it will. There are too many things to

LETTERS BY LOU “The End”

This is the story of a person who loved too much, they cared for one person who became their world...they became their everything and in one lost effort to find happiness they risked it all. they gave up more than one person should ever have to give up for any one person...they made mistakes that can not be undone. They made choices that they wished they could have avoided in life. but made never the less. Life does not come with a reset button or a pause and rewind so the choices you make today will be with you tomorrow, its up to you to decide wether or not you will have a positve future on and negative one. Living in the now is fine but when you are ready to settle down only then you will wonder what you did with your life. Four years may not seem alot to a person..but four years of mistakes and starting over is always felt most when lived and not watched for another person’s point of view. No one should be in control of your life or your destiney you make your own road, just dont hurt anyone while traveling on it. For some of us we are too trusting and in an effort to hope that things will change or that some will change we try, then try again because we never loose hope. Some people will always be sealfish, they will always b dishonest and they will always say what they think you want to hear just to get what they want from you. At the end of the day how many of us can honestly say we care for some one as much as we care for ourselves..or better yet care for them more than we care for our selves? Have you ever felt so trapped that you wish you were not breathing? and have you ever felt like the room was spinning but you were standing still?. We live and we learn, we love and we loose, but not everything lost can be found and somethimes the things we learn from life can push us into a corner and make us resent life itself. So whats the point?...why do we love, “love” when love seems to hate us? why do we try when we know we will fail because we already tried and failed already before?.......so question is why try again? How could one person be so cold and clueless to see not the damage they have done? why is it so hard to stick to your word?, after all if you do not have your word then you do not have anything. Is a promise really just a comfort to a fool? because why make promises if your just going to break them ? My question is how could one person be so blind that they do not see the hurt they have cause?, if love is blind then are you the way you are because of love or are you just blind? then if thats the case then love hurts...love scars and the worst part is..it is the one weapon that leaves no external scars, but scars internally, the ones no one sees... How many times will one person start over...why should one person have to start over so many times? why does it have to be so hard....If we are surpose to have faith, question is how can you have faith in some one you do not trust, and if you can not trust them, then why love them? Why feel the pain caused by one person, why take medication to numb the pain, why go through it alone when they say they care?...if they cared would they not be there? or better yet if they cared would they even put you in a

to feel pain?....only a sealfish person would put you in a situation like that...and if they have no consideration for you then why consider them?....just because some one walks around with a smile does not make them any happier than you standing in your drive way makes you a car.... The point is never judge a book by its cover..because the same person who created that book did not necersearly have a thing to do with the cover, their views and intrests, and personal taste can be different from the person who created that cover, so befor you judge get to know its contes first ... Its the same with humans just because one person can affect the exterior to make it seem all shinny and new does not mean that some one else did not wreck the interior and left it broken....so damaged that it can be repared, because everytime they start to glue the pecies back together ..they shatter into a thousand parts.......get to know a person before you assumes they are fine, well have have demonds to face, but not every one walks around showing theirs “your everthing I thought you never were and nothing like I thought you could have been, but still you live inside of me, so tell me how is that, you’re the only one I wish I could forget and the only one I love to not forgive and though you break my heart your the only one and though their times that I hate you cuz I cant erase the times that you hurt me and put tears on my face” I will never understand how one person could recieve so many chances..and fresh starts, to hell with turning a new leaf...because you will never change so its time I did, its time I stop taking this crap from you and its time I ended it all. I have tried every other way but this.... and now I will do it this way because you are not worth living in pain for, no smile can repay for a single peace of hurt you caused, I beleive nothing and I trust nothing. I will stick to what I know..which is you are who your are and that will never change, so I will now. My change may seem drastic or permanent or selfish to some, but unless you take a walk in my shoes you will never understand. Until you sit in a hospital room questioning everything that ever happend for the past four years of your life you will never understand.....the only person that the should sense of clarity is the one person who caused all of this, if u asked them they would say..”I did nothing...I never hurt you..you were hurt by me or by things caused by me..but I never hurt you....I wount do that...I love you”===========> NEWSFLASH ...if any form of hurt, pain or discomfort is caused by an individual wether..directly or indriectly ...it still hurts and they were involved in it, therefore in one way or the other YOU HURT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Keep your love I dont want it, I never wanted it, I still dont want it......but I love you”...does that make any sense?..... really if u heard half the nonsense you say you would realize how brain damage you sound....I mean are you sick, because you can not be normal

LOVE is not a plaster for when things go worng....its not to be used every time you mess up and make a mistake and its not the easy button...just because you say I love you does not mean that everything is ok....infact it makes it worse.... because if you “LOVE” as you say you do then why do you do off the wall stuff that screams...I----DONT---CARE!!!!!. NO REALY, PLEASE TELL ME: WHO SAYS I LOVE YOU--- THEN LIE..OVER AND OVER AGAIN?????....if that is what love is, then you can keep it..I do not want it if that is what love is then I will love differently ....I will love the way I think people should love in an effort to see if it would start as a trend and others too will love selflessly, for love is patient and love is kind...

so you need to check your self..and most importantly the ill treatment you mass off as “LOVE” is a digrace to the word and you should just not use it....because my friend, you dont no what love it, love stared you in the face for four years... and you did everything one should never do to the one they love, and for that reason, you have lost love, me...you have lost me. To any body who may read this and think guys dont have feelings ..they do, they may not show it all the time but the next time, you go to tell your man about how he hurt you..check your self to see if you hurt him. Life can be simple if we remember...rule number one: never make anyone your everything because no one is worth your happiness. No one will love you like you can love your self and anything is possible..even the sweetest person can hurt you so gaurd your heart...dont live in darkness and take four years before you see the light... but never be afarid to take chances, just always be cautious, because some things you jus cant recover from and it leaves you at, a point of no return, better known as ......THE END.......

<<<<<<FASHION>>>>>> According to the urban dictionary a fashionista is” A person devoted to fashion clothing, particularily unique or high fashion. A person not to be called a fashionista would be someone who obsessivly follows trends. REAL fashionistas do not believe in trends. That type of person would be more correctly labeled a fashion whore or a shallow bitch. Student #1:”Oh my gosh! Look at that girl wearing those sparkly red mary janes, black lolita skirt, hello kitty corset, and a top hat with pink hair!” Student #2”Oh yeah, thats Xenia, she’s a Fashionista.” Most men arnt considered fashionisata or fashion types cus most guys believe in the comfort policy... wear n go. HOWEVER in the age of the metrosexual u see straight men, being more involved in the beauty secene.. men that do a little more grooming than most..the one who will fix their brows and keeep their hair neat and always dress rite , they may not be gay but the attract alot of attention. Fashion will always be in the fore front..it always have been and always will b, no matter what happens to the world or the economy ..people will always be concerened with their appearance.. they will talk about how good they look or how bad..fashion has made its mark since Coco Channel revoloutionised the dress code for women hence the reason she is considered one of the most influential people of the 20th century As we live today fashion is still a mjor aspect of most of our lives..even here in our very own carribbean we have people like Shaun Griffith Perez creating his own infulentical designs paving the way for young designers like Sabrina Rosales, young desiger full of talent making her mark from a young age.
