President’s Foreword

Welcome to the very first volume of the Pembroke Law Journal, a publication focused on students being able to share their thoughts on legal or political issues, whether domestic or globally.

I am pleased to have started this journal with the help of the rest of the wonderful Pembroke Law Society committee, and glad to have such a diverse selection of pieces, from the private law to the public; it is a real show of intellectual strength and courage to put these academic ideas into the public sphere.
