SPORTS AND COMMUNITY FACILITIES A proud moment for PJ Walsh Concrete and Civil was being major subcontractor in the delivery of the new Qld Country Bank Stadium. This extremely detailed, highly pressured project was a credit to all involved and we are extremely proud to have been apart of such an integral project for North Queensland. Scope / Details
PJ Walsh were engaged for to complete the Civil Concrete works for Sitzler Pty Ltd on the Haulmark Trailers Project. This project is an integral part of growth and confidence in the Townsville Region. The facility includes a large workshop area, external hardstands, office building and a state-of-the-art de-gas facility. There is approximately 6,000m3 of concrete to be placed for this project. The contract value is for completion of all associated works for the job and does not include the supply of materials. PJW were responsible for all footing excavations, reinforcement installation, and concrete placement.

Ross Island Boat ramp is an integral, fully operational Defence base. PJ Walsh completed precast panels onsite that were then installed based on correct tide times all whilst maintaining one lane of the boat ramp operational at all times. There were also works associated with the upgrade of large hardstand area. Contract value reflects the labour component for the works only, no supply of materials.

Scope / Details
PJ Walsh were responsible for the successful delivery of a full civil package scope. This included Earthworks, approximately 8000m3 of cut to fill, forming, reinforcement installation and pouring of tank bases, walls, surrounding slabs and walls which consisted of approx. 3000m3 of concrete and 300T of reinforcement. Although not large quantities the remoteness of the project and extreme conditions were the biggest challenges. Also included in the scope the placement of road base pavements, fencing, road furniture installation and the management of the project including fulfilling all safety obligations, Project Management, Survey and testing requirements.

PJW were engaged to complete all Internal works for the construction of the NQ Stadium project. The contract value was based on the labour component only with no supply of materials. This key project was faced with many technical challenges throughout the process that PJW are extremely proud of delivering. The scope included soil investigation testing into foundations and acid sulphate soils, excavation of footings and piers, forming and placement of suspended slabs and decks, precast walls, all seating platforms and staircases.

Scope / Details
PJW successfully completed the concrete works associated with the redevelopment of The Ville Resort and Casino’s expansion. This included the development of the pool area, associated ground works, QuaterDeck Bar area. This highly detailed project was a great challenge for the PJW team and their efforts were awarded by receiving recognition for Project of the Year by Master Builders.
