MEET THE TEAM OSCAR FLORES | Leasing Manager Our Leasing Manager, Oscar Flores, grew up in New York City where he attended John Jay College. He moved to Florida 10 years ago and loves it here because of the beautiful weather and the fact that he can ride his bike year-round. HEALTH TIP This month’s health tip comes to us from Christian from Prime Health Management, who demonstrates the correct and incorrect format for a bodyweight squat. Follow his form to get the most from your workout!
CORRECT SQUAT
The bodyweight squat targets the muscles in your legs, including the glutes, hamstrings and quads. • Push your hips back like you’re sitting down in a chair • Make sure your weight is situated over your heels • Maintain a neutral (straight) back and make sure your knees don’t buckle inwards • Go as low as is comfortable without sacrificing form INCORRECT SQUAT
• Notice how far my knees go forward, past my toes • My knees are buckling inwards • I have a rounded back (not straight) which could lead to lower back issues • This puts lots of stress on the knee joint if performed like this over a long period of time JUNE 2018
