Full Trust Accounting, Contribution Accruals, and Census Data Verification Our processes and procedures are designed for administrative ease and include stringent data verification to achieve the highest level of accuracy. This includes not just the traditional data points, but also goes beyond that to include verifying that each participant account is correct by dollar amount and source, confirmation of employees that should be included in testing along with verification of HCE and key employee status. Our data collection and submission process has been developed with the client in mind, to make retirement plan administration a seamless process.

CEFEX Certified Pentegra’s TPA operations are CEFEX certified by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence. CEFEX is the only certification process that validates a TPA firm is utilizing best practices in regard to processes and capabilities in conducting plan administration and operational compliance services. This certification provides assurance that we have demonstrated adherence to the best practices in the industry, and provides an independent assessment of a firm’s accountability to its clients. Pentegra is part of an elite group of firms in the U.S. that has successfully completed the independent certification process for TPA service providers.

SOC 1 and 2 Audits Pentegra undegoes both SOC 1 and 2 Audits on an annual basis. The SOC 1 audit is a voluntary audit that Pentegra performs each year to ensure that Pentegra maintains an appropriate internal control environment over its financial reporting controls. In addition to this audit, Pentegra also completes a SOC 2 audit each year, which more specifically deals with information security and confidentiality controls.
