DreamWorks founder, David Geffen, famously exclaimed, “Move to California. Malibu is paradise.” And he’s not wrong. In Malibu, explore some of the best seafood restaurants, beaches, surfing, hiking, and shopping that Southern California has to offer.

ethics enables students to understand the ideological foundations of policy stakeholders, think historically about solutions, and consider the relationship between faith and society. ★★ Melding
free-market empirical analysis with qualitative reasoning
develops a distinctive liberal arts approach that cultivates public leaders who think critically and collaboratively. ★★ Hosting
numerous co-curricular policy forums and conferences

POLICY INTERNSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ★★ Policy
Internship Requirement – 240 hours of substantive policy work must be completed prior to the start of the student’s final spring semester, providing preparation for a post-graduate career.
★★ Professional
Development Requirement – Attendance at 8 credit hours per semester of on- or off-campus professional development events, such as guest lectures, networking events, conferences, and career services events that expose students to the diverse career opportunities in public policy.
My decision to attend the Pepperdine School of Public Policy was heavily influenced by the program’s internship component. Interning at the White House gave me the opportunity to apply the skills I had learned during my first year to the policymaking process. The combination of policy-related course work and practical application are what sets Pepperdine apart from other schools, and distinguishes its students from the rest.
