New Yok Obligatory Stops CENTRAL PARK

One obligatory stop in New York, is its big and famous park, the only option to breathe pure air is going there. There are baseball and basketball courts, different routes, parks, a zoo and a lake. It's so big, it takes up 4 km and 800 m.

EMPIRE STATE

Even though you can't go into the building to see the offices, if you pay a ticket, you can climb to the top, I'm sure that you will see very moving views. EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

You can't go to New York, and when you return home, tell your friends that it wasn't possible for you to see the famous New York monument. A very cheap way to see it is going by boat, but if you worry about money, pay a ticket for a helicopter, if you don’t get dizzy!

New Yok Obligatory Stops ROCKEFELLER CENTER

In this block there are some famous buildings, like the top of the rock, the Ge building... But I want to talk about the Rockefeller Center in Xmas the ice rink, people falling On it... I love Christmas!

CHINATOWN

A Chinese world into Manhattan?! No, you haven't taken a flight to China, although it looks like it. The disturbance and madness in this district is amazing. Another amazing thing there, is the celebration of the Chinese New Year, dragons made of coloured paper everywhere

CONCLUSION

In conclusion teenagers spend nowadays on average four or three hours in front of a screen every day. We were certainly right in our hypothesis, but the worst part is that adolescents know that this affects their studies, and honestly, they don't do much about it. They spend about two or three hours doing school work or studying, less than the time that they spend with their electronic devices. Is this a good thing? Are we well prepared to lead our country in the future?

What do Catalan teenagers do in their free time? By Elga JansĂ HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU READ A WEEK? The majority of the people that we asked only read about 30 minutes a week! In our opinion this is not much time. WHAT TYPE OF BOOKS DO YOU PREFER READING? People like more adventure books and romance books. Fantasy books and comics are not very popular.

WHAT TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY IS THE ONE YOU USE MOST? The device we use most is the mobile phone, we think that is because they're like an innovation and all the teenagers have it always in their hands.

HOW DO YOU GO TO SCHOOL? 38 of the people asked walk to school, but a lot of people go to school by car. We defend the people who go by car because they may live far from school. We think that it is better to go to school walking or by bike.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO ARRIVE TO SCHOOL? For a lot of people it takes them about 5, 10, 15 minutes to get to their school. Sometimes there are some people who need about 30-40 minutes to arrive to school.

WHO TAKES YOU TO SCHOOL? The majority of the teenagers go to school alone, maybe their parents can't take them to school. If teenagers can’t walk to school, their mothers drive them.

How can I play the piano? By Montse Rovira

When we see a piano the first that we do is touching one of the 88 keys (usually) without knowing what musical note we are playing, but we may know because it is very easy, well it is easier on the right than on the left, for me, but when you play it with your left hand you have to think more because the keys are different but the same note. Let me explain you how to play it. BASIC MUSICAL NOTES ORDER: SPANISH* DO RE MI FA SOL LA SI … ENGLISH* C D E F G A B …

Our fingers have numbers, yes numbers, we have to give each finger a number to know the position and the note, the numbers are from 1 to 5, like Do (C) 1 with the Thumb onwards. There are other notes, because we have two hands! I will explain the treble clef (right) but on the other hand there is the bass clef (left hand). Bartolomeo Cristofori is nowadays recognized as the person who invented the piano. He was born on 4th May,1655 in Padua (Italy) and he died on 27th January (1731)at the age of 75 in Florence, Italy. In his times he was an important person, he was well-known, but now we don’t know who he is. I know a simple song which I think was the first I learnt and now I’m going to explain how to play it on piano: SONG: MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB MI RE DO RE MI MI MI (III) RE RE RE (eee) MI MI MI (iii) MI RE DO RE MI MI MI MI DO (OO) RE RE MI RE DO

HOW TO PLAY THE GUITAR? By Núria Pacheco

Hi! Today I’ll teach you the basicsto play the guitar. When you start playing the guitar you have to practice a lot: finger positions, chord shapes, string names, how to hold your guitar, hold the pick, strum a beat. 1) The first thing I’ll explain is how to hold the guitar: a) You need to sit up straight. b) Support the guitar in your lap. c) Put your hand in the hole of the guitar. d) The left hand holds the mast. 2) Then you have to know the main chords a) The basic chords are: doing/re/mi/fa/sim/lam. b) Latin notation: DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA y SI. English notation: C, D, E, F, G, A y B It’s important to know the 2 different types of notation because if you want to learn a song, it’s possible that it is of the notation that you don’t know.

3) Tune the guitar If you want your guitar to have a good sound you need to know how to tune it. a) The easiest form is with the tuner. If the arrow is in the middle, it means that the string is okay.

If the arrow moves to the right, it means you have to loosen the string.

If the arrow moves to the left, it means you have to tighten the string.

4- Another important thing is to know how to read the score.

a) the first thing you need to know are the basic music notes.

DO

RE

MI FA SOL LA

b)

SI

DO'

The last thing to do is to play songs you like. If you play songs that you don't like it is so boring. I advise you to start playing classic songs because it’s easier, and when you get better you can practice songs that you like.

GOOD LUCK!

Colourful box Do it yourself This is a very easy and useful trick. You can use it for decoration of your house, to sell it and get money, or for a school project.

By Carola Riba

After waiting, you have to stick eight sticks to build the bottom of the box. Then, you can continue with the walls.

Material: -Glue -Ice cream sticks -Paint (If you want to decorate the sticks). If you finally buy the normal sticks you should paint them as you want. When you

When you have finished the box, you must handle it with care and put it in a place with a lot of sun. You have to wait t e n minutes to put some things into the box. You can put your keys, hair accessories, or you can only use it for decoration.

finish, we recommend to wait about fifteen minutes to dry it, but it depends on the type of paint that you use. Then, you can continue working.

I hope you like this trick guys!!

Earring hanger Do it yourself This trick is used to organize your earrings in a funny and cute way. It’s a very easy trick and you can do it in the same way as the last one. You have to buy all the material (it’s the same material that you need for the colorful box). You can buy it in a supermarket or in a hardware store, we recommend to buy it in a supermarket, because it’s cheaper. Then you have to put the sticks in order, like the one in the photo. You have to wait 10 minutes for it to dry, and when the earring hanger is dry, you can paint it (or not). I hope you like this trick guys!!

experiment How to do Eggshell Geode Crystals? By Laura Colom

YOU WILL NEED: • clean eggshells • water • a variety of soluble solids: table salt, rock salt, sugar, baking soda, Epsom salts, sea salt, borax, or cream of tartar • small heat proof containers (coffee cups work well) • spoons • food colouring • egg cartons and wax paper or minimuffin tins

1. Crack the eggs. 2. Clean the eggshells using hot water. 3. The hot water cooks the lining and allows you to pull the skin (egg membrane.) 4. Make sure to remove all the egg membrane, if any membrane stays inside the shell it is possible that your eggshell will grow mold and your crystals will turn black. 5. Use an egg carton to hold the eggs upright. 6. Use a saucepan to heat the water to boiling. . 7. Pour half a cup to the water into your heatproof. If you poured half a cup of water into the container, add about a ¼ cup of solid to the water. Stir it until it dissolves. 8. If you used a cup of water, add about ½ a cup of solid to the water. 9. You want to add about half the volume of the water again to the mixture.

PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY 10. When the initial amount of solid is dissolved continue adding small amounts of the solid until the water is super-saturated. 11. It simply means the water has absorbed all of it. 12. Add food coloring. 13. Carefully pour your solution into the eggshell, filling it as full as possible without over-flowing.

Find a safe place to put your shells while the water evaporates. Crystals will form inside the eggshells as the water evaporates.

ARE WE ALONE?

By Albert Panisello

This is the question that we've always wanted to know. Is all the universe full of lonely planets with no life on them, are we the only ones? Last February 23th, scientists from 12 different observatories found 7 new planets that are similar to the Earth (similar temperature and size) orbiting a sun-like star. The star is called TRAPPIST-1, and it's at 39 light-years away from us; that's not that far, astronomically talking. The method astronomers use to find planets at a really long distance isn't too complex. They use a really potent telescope to point at a star, and, when a planet goes past the sun, a shadow can be seen, just like a mini-eclipse. Using this method, astronomers can find planets that are so far away.

3 of those planets were discovered last year, but now they have found 4 more, and all of them are really similar to the Earth.

But, could we really live there? The 7 planets are closer to their star than we are from the Sun, but that's not a problem because TRAPPIST1 has just the 8% of the Sun's mass, so the atmosphere’s temperature of these planets is between 0 and 100 ºC. This fact might confirm water in these new planets, and maybe there's life too.

This discovery is so Important that it could confirm that we aren't alone. Apart from that, if some day our planet doesn't have the conditions for living in it, this could be our salvation. This research was presented by the Nature magazine.

Top mobile games: Clash Royale The best free mobile game at the moment is Clash Royale. It’s a game created by Supercell. It's a game based in 1 VS 1card battles. For getting cards and upgrading it you have to open chests. There are different types of chests: wood, silver, gold, giant, magic, super magic, epic and legendary chests. You play in arenas. There are 11 arenas, and each one gives you more prestige and better chests. When you throw a card, this card summons a troop with specific characteristics. The basic characteristics are speed, range and objective. There also other characteristics that only a few cards have like: stunning, live time, slowing movement, charge damage, shield, knockback, area damage and some others. You have structure cards for defending, hitpoints, damage per second (DPS), damage per attack (DPA), attack speed, movement, etc.

regenerates a piece every 3 seconds, but in the last minute the elixir regenerates twice faster than in the rest of the battle.

The regular time of a battle is 3 minutes, but when the three minutes have finished and none of the opponents has destroyed a tower, the time of the battle is one minute longer (sudden death). In case one opponent destroyes any tower in the sudden death, the battle finishes with a draw. If you win the battle you often get 30 trophies, but if you lose your opponent takes 30 of your trophies. The more trophies you have the more difficult arenas you play at. This is a game that I like and I recommend it a lot. It’s a difficult game and needs a lot of skill and knowing a lot of the game strategy

The cards are classified in rarity, there are: common, rare, epic and legendary cards. The objective of the battles is destroying the two enemies Crown towers and the King tower but these towers attack too. To do this you have to throw cards. The cards have an elixir cost. The elixir that you have is regulated by a ten pieces bar, so your max elixir is ten. The elixir bar

but it is also quite simple and fun.
