COOLUM MORTGAGE BROKER IN TOP 10 FOR BUSINESS AWARDS

AUSSIE COOLUM FRANCHISEE

TREVOR RYAN HAS BEEN NAMED AS A FINALIST IN THE 2023 BETTER BUSINESS AWARDS IN THE BEST REGIONAL BROKER CATEGORY FOR QUEENSLAND.

The awards, now in their 10th year, were launched by The Adviser in 2014 as a way of recognising “the remarkable achievements of top professionals within Australia’s broking industry, enabling them to simultaneously strengthen their roles in the sector and gain recognition”.

The State winners for Queensland will be announced at an event on March 2 in Brisbane.

The Adviser editor Annie Kane said 2022 had been a particularly challenging time for the broking industry.

“With interest rates having started to rise for the first time in nearly a decade and continuing to rise, brokers have been exceptionally busy this year helping a growing number of borrowers understand their financial position and refinance their loans,” Ms Kane said.

“The finalists this year should be commended for their dedication, hard work and care when it comes to supporting borrowers and ensuring they are able to understand their changing repayments.

“Congratulations to all the finalists who are helping drive the broking industry forward.”

Finalists in the Best Regional Broker category include:

• Ryan Baddock, RB Finance (Toowoomba)

• Emma Cattermole, Wealthfolio Financial Services (Mooloolaba)

• Jason Cuerel, Mortgage Innovations (Varsity Lakes)

• Carol King, Loan Market (Buderim)

• Chris Maguire, Loan Market (Gladstone)

• Wayne Pope, Loan Market (Maroochydore)

• Xavier Quenon, Go Mortgage (Arundel)

• Trevor Ryan, Aussie (Coolum)

• Nick Smith, Red10 Finance (Reedy Creek)

• Phil Verheijen, Professional Lending Solutions (Bundall)

Trevor said he was humbled to have been recognised and named as a finalist in the Awards alongside such a strong field.

A veteran of the broking scene, Trevor has been with Aussie for more than 20 years.

As a mobile broker he was named Aussie’s Queensland mobile broker of the year for seven years straight, and national mobile broker of the year three times. He has also been recognised in the Mortgage Professional Association’s Top 100 Brokers on several occasions as well as being recognised as Regional Broker of the Year.

Trevor opened the Aussie Coolum franchise in Birtwill St several years ago and now works with his team to service the loan needs of customers in the greater Coolum area.
