Perched on top of the highest ridge at Cypiro Lodge, one finds the owner’s pride and joy – the ‘Elements of Altitude’, Ebony and Ivory. Designed by the owner herself, and constructed out of locally sourced materials, her aim was to ensure these two one-bedroomed ‘pods’ looked as though they’d grown organically out of the soil and have rested here forevermore. She succeeded. Blended with the mountain formation that overlooks the savanna land below, Ebony and Ivory’s rounded shape mirror mother nature, bringing to mind the lovely pangolin, curled into itself for a cozy rest. Waking up in your bed you will see giraffe, sable, and zebra grazing in the distance. Lazing on the comfy deck, so high above the lands below, one gets the sensation of flying far above the bushland, surveying all, as would a gliding bird of prey.
