We are expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a super-organised, client-centric, hard-working and calm Safari Reservation / Support person to join our Safari and Bespoke Travel team. You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years in the safari reservation space. You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of adaptability, a keen eye for detail and to understand that in the hospitality industry, you may occasionally need to work outside office hours work. Superb organisational and administrative skills and an unflappable demeanour is definitely a plus. This role is full-time, working from our gorgeous garden office in Hout Bay.

Sales
• Respond to and follow up on all enquiries given to you timeously, whether by phone or email
• Develop excellent product knowledge to best enable conversion of enquiries to bookings
• Maintain booking system database with all complete and accurate information
• Maintain accurate and legible systems for tracking of bookings
• Maintain financial records of bookings
• Handle resolution of issues that may arise with clients as directed by the employer
• Promote new products and accommodation opportunities
• Market existing stock to existing and new clients
• Maintain stats of various functions and report weekly on the day specified
• Cross-sell across products as is appropriate
• Retain full responsibility for your rental sales
• Build up and maintain agent/supplier relationships
• Work closely with the team to achieve goals
Support
• Once the Agent has completed the sale - complete all admin-related duties (confirm booking forms on Augitive, update booking status on all calendars, send confirmation to guest and owner)
• Handle all Pre-& Post Res questions on assigned agent’s bookings (pre-check-in questions from guests, follow up 1 week before arrival to ensure the booking is all in order with property and ensure the guest has directions. Post res handle minor damages and assist clients when they have left something at a hideaway)
• Regularly pass on customer feedback to the Product/Reservations team
• Assist senior agents with calendar availability
• Answer the phone as per operational needs. Take down full client details and enquiry details, email these to the appropriate Reservation Consultant
