PUGLIA,
Driving up the sandy track through almost 20 acres of olive groves set in rich red soil, one is struck by the timelessness of this peaceful landscape that’s remained largely unchanged over generations. Imagine the surprise at discovering the immaculately restored Tenuta Masseriola in this historic setting, with its Puglian heritage more evident than most. In a renovation that was just as painstaking at the mother farmhouse, Masseria Moroseta, the exposed stonework or soft tuffa (or ‘tuff’ bedrock) and the original buildings were carefully preserved in keeping with its surroundings.
