MISSION
VISION
Miu Miu offers a sensual, rebellious take on dressing-up. Miu Miu explores fashion as a rarefied form, giving elegance and sophistication a new and twisted meaning.
Through nuanced campaign artwork and global boutiques that subtext to the collections themselves, express depth and variety conveying the complex layers of the Miu Miu woman. Conceived as continually evolving works and sets, the campaigns and shops suggest a dramatic but playful attitude to shopping and dressing up. By continuing to bring diverse inspirations, playing on masculine and feminine, historic references and a jilted modernity of the Miu Miu woman come together unexpectedly.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Miu Miu is partnered with the National Association of Women Artist to help foster awareness of, and interest in, visual art created by women in the United States. The NAWA promotes culture and education in the visual arts through exhibitions of its members’ works, educational programs, scholarships, awards, its historical archive, and other appropriate means. While encouraging contemporary and emerging artists, the Association honors and continues the long and important contribution of women to the history of American culture and art. Miu Miu auctions off front row seat tickets for its Paris Fashion week show, as well as raise fund through sales from selected collections and donates those proceeds to the NAWA. Miu Miu also raises awareness by working with female artist on campaigns, exhibitions and discussions.

MIUCCIA PRADA Fashion designer Miuccia Prada was born on May 10, 1949, in Milan, Italy. Once a member of the Italian Communist Party and a mime student, Prada was an unlikely entrepreneur when she took over her family'ʹs luggage business in 1978. She first dazzled the fashion world in 1985 with a series of black nylon handbags and backpacks. Prada is now a billion dollar company. Maria Bianchi Prada on May 10, 1949, in Milan, Italy. She was the youngest granddaughter of Mario Prada, who started the Prada fashion line in 1913 by manufacturing well crafted, high end suitcases, handbags and steamer trunks for the Milanese elite. Much of what set Prada apart from the rest of the fashion world is her seeming disregard for the fashion industry. Prada has always blazed her own trail and demonstrated a fearlessness in trying new styles. Her experimentation once included a raincoat that was transparent until it became wet, at which point it turned opaque. In 2004, she dazzled a front row of critics at a show with a collection of souvenir clothes that included straw hats and embroidered moccasins. In another designer'ʹs hands they might have been seen as garish; in Prada'ʹs, the items packed chic appeal.
