M.A. students may choose to complete one or more certificate tracks. Elective courses may be chosen from any course taught through RSG. Requests for modification to the ADP must be approved via Academic Petition.
M.A. in Government (Joint Degree) Total of 30 credit hours *Student must be approved by both Regent schools to become part of a Joint Degree program. All requirements for both schools must be met before student can graduate from either school. In fact, RSG advises taking one track course per semester. Please note the following: * UNIV LIB Library Research and Resources must be taken in your first semester of enrollment. * GOV 604 Christian Foundations of Government must be taken in your first year. * It is best to take GOV 602 Principles of Economics before or concurrent with the following courses: GOV 615, 674, or 687. * It is best to take GOV 654 International Politics before or concurrent with the following courses: GOV 638, 655, 659, 673, 674, 675, 676, or 684. * If you choose to do GOV 699 Thesis Option, you must register for this class before your last semester in the M.A. program. Course Registration: Students register themselves on GENISYS, until the day before the start of the term. After the term starts, students must submit an Add/Drop form to their Admin. Advisor for any registration changes. GENISYS registration is not available at any time for Independent Studies, Internship, Thesis or Oxford. Students must follow procedures outlined on the RSG Academics website to seek approval for registration in these specialized courses. Graduation: Students must submit a Graduation Application by the deadline for the term in which they will complete all Approved Degree Plan and university administrative requirements. (For details see: http:www.regent.edu/admin/registrar/DegreeClearance.cfm) If not cleared in the term for which the application is filed, students must submit a new application for the term in which all requirements are met.
