University of Illinois at Springfield Office of Financial Assistance CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Students considering enrolling concurrently must meet the following conditions: ¾ Meet all federal and state financial aid guidelines ¾ Be fully admitted to UIS o Students conditionally admitted are ineligible ¾ Be enrolled in at least 6 hours of course work at UIS for that semester ¾ Is limited to 6 hours of course work at the concurrent institution for that semester ¾ Is limited to a cumulative total of 15 hours of concurrent enrollment courses ¾ Can only enroll in on-line courses at approved institutions ¾ Be taking courses for a letter grade o Audit, pass/fail and credit/no-credit courses are ineligible ¾ Have the application process completed by the following deadlines o Fall Semester: September 30th o Spring Semester: February 20th ¾ Be making satisfactory academic progress o Students on financial aid probation/cancellation are ineligible ¾ Have completed all coursework, with passing grades, from prior concurrent enrollments During the semester of concurrent enrollment, students must do the following: ¾ Inform the Office of Financial Assistance of any changes in their enrollment status at either institution. Changes in enrollment may result in the following: o Students may lose aid eligibility o Students may be liable for any repayment of federal or state funds Upon completion of the semester of approved concurrent enrollment, students need to do the following: ¾ Submit an official academic transcript from the concurrent institution to the UIS Office of Admissions and Records ¾ Submit an official academic transcript or grade report to the Office of Financial Assistance o Failure to do so will result in the suspension of future financial aid
The concurrent enrollment process is only available for the Fall and Spring semesters
