Make Your Own Pom Pom Balls 10 sheets of coloured tissue paper florists wire a good eye for an inch! scissors string to hang

1 Line up your tissue paper. Fold the short side upwards to start a concertina. Each fold should be around 1 inch, it doesn't have to be perfect! It adds character to the pom pom ball!

2

Once you've finished your concertina, rub your hands over the folds firmly to make sure that the folds are pronounced. Right in the centre of your concertina, wrap a piece of florists wire around the middle tight enough to hold the folds neatly. Make a small look in the wire too for hanging ribbon later.

3

Take your scissors, and at the ends of each concertina fold, cut a either a curve or a point (this will give it a really pretty effect!). Once you've done both ends, start fanning out the pieces one by one making sure that you start with the top layers first towards the middle. You should start to see what will look like 'half a globe'!

4

Once you've done this on both sides, you'll have something that should resemble a big pom pom ball! Thread a piece of ribbon or string through the loop you created earlier in the florist wire and da dah! There you have it! A magical pom pom ball.
