The best option is heading to vaqueria village and then with a private transport after 2 hours crossing the portachuelo pass 4,850 mts we will make a camping in the cebollapampa valley next to the Llanganuco lakes.

Day 1: Cebollapampa – Base camp Pisco After 5 hours going up we will reach the base camp next to the Pisco Mountain Hut, where is also possible to stay in a warm and comfortable bed before climbing early after midnight. This area is nice to see the Huandoy and Huascaran Peaks. Final check of all the equipment for the snow. Day 2: Climbing day and return to Huaraz. The night is our partner leaving at 3 o’clock we will cross the long moraine area before reaching the glacier and beginning the climbing itself, after changing our clothes for mountain gear
8-Lunch time in front of the Taulliraju mountain, below Punta Union.

Mesapata. From here the 2 Safuna lakes are visible, after 3 hours hike we will reach our next camp in the area of Safuna, for complete this day an easy hike up to the upper Safuna lake for pictures. Alpacas and Llamas living in the area. Day 6: Huillca - Jancapampa In the morning we will cross the next pass Salctaycocha at 4600m. This pass is difficult when raining because is only a sandy path, horses need to be careful while passing. We get down the path until the Jancapampa valley. Here we will camp next to the huecrococha Lake just above the Yanacocha pass which leads to the Santa Cruz valley at the other side. Here is possible to have some fresh trouths for dinner. Day 7: Jancapampa - Tuctupampa Today is another pass Yanacon pass 4,610 mts several peaks can be seen from this pass, we reach the way down in the Santa Cruz valley much warmer than the other side. Only 2 hours from the top to the next camp. Here is only one day for finishing the trek heading to Vaqueria village where is possible to get transport back to Huaraz or we can continue for 4 days more crossing Punta Union 4,850 mts.
Day 8: Tuctupamba - Taullipampa. Today we will cross Punta Union 4,850 mts, the views are amazing we will see two beautiful lakes before reaching the pass. A long way down until the next camp located in the Taullipampa valley just in front of the Taulliraju mountain near the Alpamayo lagoon, which is possible to visit the rest day Day 9: Taullipampa rest day. Today is for visit the Alpamayo valley or just rest and take pictures of the surrounding mountains such as Artesonraju, Quitaraju and the Taulliraju of course, don’t forget to visit also the Taulli lake located above the camping place. Day 10: Taullipampa – Lake Just way down easy and relax day, after all the other tough days this day is really a bless, following a nice river we will reach the last camping place at the small lake. Here is a small shop for buy some things like a coke or taste some local potatoes. Day 11: Lake – Cashapampa – Huaraz. A long way is necessary for arriving into Cashapampa the head city for beginning this trip, here is very warm and the locals are always working on the fields, many trouth farms were
7-Santa Cruz Valley.
we start our way up in teams leaded by UIAA official mountain guides, in normal conditions the top is made in 7 hours after an easy pitch just before the last summit part, but is strongly recommended to check snow and climbing conditions before attempting any mountain in this area. After reaching the top we will get down until cebollapampa valley where we will take our transport back to huaraz.
