15 Minute Yoga Workout Want a quickie? It can be just plain hard to make time for exercise these days.

However, Yoga offers a systematic diversity of poses, deep breathing and meditation that you could practice in 5 to 15 minutes and will also leave you invigorated and eager to step into the day feeling like a superstar. So what is this quickie routine I am talking about? It is known as the Sun Salutations!

They are very simple to learn and just about anyone, regardless of their fitness or flexibility levels can do. Besides being an exercise routine, they are quite indispensable as they do so many things for you such as 1. Alleviating disorders of the waist. 2. Mildly exercising the legs and arms. 3. Increasing the circulation and restoring flexibility to the limbs. 4. Burn calories and reduce weight. 5. Effective in loosening up and massaging all joints and internal organs of the body. 6. Stimulate and balance all the systems of the body

For directions on how to perform them, study, memorize and practice the following:

I'll include these cute pictures to help you along the way (courtesy of circusartsonline.com) 1. Stand straight with the palms together as in a prayer position.

2. Inhale and stretch the arms above the head.

3. Exhale and bend forward while touching the toes.

4. Inhale and stretch the right leg away from the body in a big backward step and keep the hands and left foot firmly on the ground. Bending the head backward the left knee should be between the hands.

5. Inhale and hold the breath. Move the left leg from the body and, keeping both feet together and the knees off the floor, rest on the hands (arms straight) and keep the body in a straight line from head to foot.

6. Exhale and lower the body to the floor. In this position, only 8 portions of the body come in contact with the floor: the two feet, two knees, two hands, chest and forehead.

7. Inhale and bend back as much as possible bending the spine to the maximum.

8. Exhale and lift the body of the floor. Keep the feet and heels on the floor.

9. Inhale and bring the right foot along the level of the hands; left foot and knee should touch the ground. Look up, bending the spine slightly (same position as #4)

10. Exhale and bring the left leg forward. Keep the knees straight and bring the head down to the knees as in the third position.

11. Raise the arms overhead and bend backward inhaling. As in Position 2.

12. Exhale and drop the arms and relax. You have now completed one round. Perform as many rounds as possible in multiples of 3. Ideally you want to aim for 6 rounds minimum and up to a maximum of 30

It only takes about 5-15 minutes, depending on your speed and intensity and is best practiced with as little clothing as possible before an open air window first thing in the morning. So when you’ve got little time to spare but need to be energized the way perhaps only physical exercise can, why not try the Sun Salutations. Your body will be glad you did and so will your mind. It'll be the best morning quickie you've ever had! ď Š Namaste Everyday

Commute Your Way To Success

When you commute to work what do you do? While you drive your car do you listen to the news, a music station or the traffic report? While you ride the train or bus do you just throw on your earphones and blast your iPod? There is so much time spent commuting, are you spending that time wisely? Two commutes a day, ten a week, forty a month, about 440 times a year. If you commute 45 minutes to work, that is ninety minutes a day, 1,650 hours a year! That's so much time when you think about it, right? While, you remember those goals you’ve been meaning to achieve? Why not use this time wisely to work on those goals? How you use this time is as endless as your imagination but to help you out I'll give you a few examples in this article. When you use your commuting time to benefit yourselves and make accomplishments, it not only will benefit you personally, but you will see positive impacts at work, home and play! You can be using the time to organize your day at work. This will help you to be more productive at work and less time will be spent away from home and play. You know that achieving those goals you have been putting off means they will no longer seem like clouds hanging over you. You will be free mentally, emotionally and physically.

If you want to start a business the commute is a great time to read books on the topic if your ride the train or bus. If you drive audio books are the way to go. If you never have time to write, bring a audio recorder and dictate your ideas in your car. Think about all those moments throughout your daily routine where you can incorporate some creative ways to be productive. Why not take the time to enrich your life? The commute is also a great time to create your to-do list for the day or review how the day went. Whatever you choose to do, getting value out of the commute helps to change your attitude about the commute and even where you are commuting to. That job seems a whole lot better when you've started your day productively. It relaxes you throughout the time because you are focused on something more interesting than counting the minutes or the traffic jams. So now, instead of it being a major pain in the butt the commute is actually an opportunity to advance your life. Think of ten to twenty activities that you can do during your commute and get started. This way if you don’t feel like doing one, you have another ready to go, even if it’s just as simple as listening to your favorite motivational speaker because you won’t always want to read a book. You can listen to meditation music while you write a book. You can compose a letter or song in your head. Now instead of the commute being about getting to work make it about getting work done. 
