Sometimes you need to make appetizers for a large gathering. It may be a wedding, a reunion, or other special occasion. Choose recipes that can be made ahead of time and frozen so you can work on the recipes for some time before the event. It is nice to have a choice between hot and cold appetizers. Each guest will eat about 5 or 6 appetizers if you are serving meals as well. If not, make 10 to 12 pieces per person. Provide a wide variety of appetizers for guests to choose from. Marinated Vegetables This is an easy dish. Select your vegetables and blanch them. Place them in a shallow dish and pour Italian salad dressing over them while they are still warm. Cover and let them sit in the refrigerator overnight. Simply remove the vegetables from the marinade and arrange on platters before serving. Sweet and Sour Meatballs This is a really easy recipe. You can also make them in a crockpot so you can serve them in the same dish. Simply form your ground beef into small meatballs. For large batches, the meatballs can be frozen before cooking. When you are ready to cook, brown the meatballs and place them in a large pot. Mix up ketchup and grape jelly. Warm it in the microwave to help them combine more thoroughly. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and let them cook for an hour. Serve in a chafing dish with toothpicks. Recipe for Sausage Triangles These delicious treats are made with phyllo sheets. What You Need

8 ounces pork sausage 1/2 pound mushrooms, diced 1/4 pound Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/3 of a 16 ounce package frozen phyllo

How to Make It Cook sausage and mushrooms over medium high heat until the meat is browned and the mushrooms have grown tender, stirring as needed. Remove the sausage mixture from the pan with a slotted spoon and place it in a dish lined with paper towels to absorb the grease. When fully drained, place the sausage mixture in a large bowl and mix with the shredded cheese. Cut the phyllo sheets into 2-inch wide strips lengthwise. Place the strips on waxed paper; cover them with a damp paper towel to keep them moist. Place one strip of phyllo on your work surface and brush it lightly with melted butter. Put 1 teaspoon of sausage mixture at one end. Fold one corner of the phyllo diagonally over the filling so the short edge meets the long edge of the strip, forming a triangle. Fold the strip at right angles until you reach the end, forming a triangle. Repeat until the sausage mixture is gone. Place the finished parcels seam side down on a jellyroll pan. Brush them all with butter. Cover and refrigerate if you are not going to cook them immediately. To cook, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the triangles until golden; about 15 minutes. Each batch makes around 3-1/2 dozen. Note: Unbaked triangles can be frozen for up to a month. Place waxed paper between layers.

If you're looking for easy party appetizers for your next event, think about recipes that can be made ahead of time. Guests love a good cold appetizer recipe, especially when the weather is hot outside. EasyAppetizerRecipes.net - You Make the Appetizers, We Help You Make Them Delicious
