Peter McVerry Trust
The Out of Hours Information and Advice Service for County Kildare is operated by Peter McVerry Trust on behalf of Kildare County Council.
Peter McVerry Trust was established in 1983 to tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage. Since then, it has supported thousands of young, vulnerable people on the margins of Irish society. It is committed to the principles of a Housing First approach.
The service offers information and advice to those at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness in Kildare. The freephone number operates outside of Kildare County Council’s office hours and at weekends. Please note the operating hours below. Freephone Operating Hours The freephone number is active from 5pm -9pm Monday to Friday. It operates from Noon – 5pm Saturday & Sunday. Kildare Homeless Services Anyone seeking support in respect of homeless and housing services during office hours should continue to contact Kildare County Council. Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger persons with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model and within a framework that is based on equal opportunities, dignity and respect. Our Services Peter McVerry Trust operates a 14 bed Supported Temporary Accommodation Unit in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. This is one of a number of homeless services provided by Peter McVerry Trust. The charity also provides prevention, housing, drug treatment and U18s residential services.
